I just found out Florida is a RIGHT TO WORK state? What I was told was basically no unions allowed and employees have no rights....??

IIRC, right to work means the right to get a job and not be forced to join a union. I've seen the dark side of unions up close and personal- believe me, you WILL want a choice given some of the locals out there. Like every other 'rat bastion except the abortion industry, the labor unions are definitely not pro-choice.

I worked for a union for many years too....I was a supervisor and fought with that union all the time....many arbitrations, etc...they saved all the lowlife lazy employees...which brings you to the weakest link is the strongest link idea...and it grows and grows. Very aggravating. I know exactly what you mean...unions do go way too far...but on the other hand...so do CEO's. I enjoyed the security of the union...I now work one day at a time...stressed every day wondering if I did ok today and if I'll be back tomorrow. I hate this too. No security whatsoever..no pension from them, lots of extra time put in with no pay (that salary crap) and little pay or time off. There has to be a compromise. I certainly am not PRO-MY-COMPANY. I'm mostly upset at them and do not trust them at all. I shouldn't have this attitude towards them. When I worked for NYState I was actually working to fullfill all 'my job requirements'....I wanted to make it better and I worked towards the improvments....Not in this private world I don't...why? SO they can can me on a whim?
