This is a senseless act of terrorism. I would support Israel's dropping the Big One on the P.A.'s if they want to commit suicide against the people of Israel. No sense in Israel waiting to be killed by these people. Israel may as well help them along with their "cause", senseless as it is.

I look at these terribly sad pictures and think of Peres' last "foaming at the mouth" when he apologized all over the place to the terrorists for targeting the head of Hamas. Disgusting! These pictures are WHY terrorists MUST BE targeted. God be with their relatives and friends now, and may He give a speedy recovery to the wounded. Islam is peace, yeah right.

A woman looks at two photographs of Israeli families blindfolded and gagged in a tableaux intended to recall the Israeli army's treatment of suspected Palestinian militants in the West Bank, at a graduate exhibition at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, July 31,2002. The photographer, who served as a reserve soldier in the recent operations, said the exhibition at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design faculty of the Hebrew University, was meant to convey the clash of duty and conscience in the security-minded Jewish state. Less than an hour later a bomb blast tore through the caferteria at the Hebrew University, killing several people and wounding dozens in an attack claimed by the military wing of Hamas in revenge for Israel's killing of its leader Salah Shehada in an air strike in Gaza last week. No matter what Israel does or doesn't do, there are attacks. However...
There are more attacks whenever:
- Israel makes concessions.
- Israel lifts the curfew.
- Israel removes the roadblocks.
- Some U.S. celebrity arrives for a visit.
There are fewer attacks whenever:
- Israel enforces the curfew.
- Israel imposes a blockade.
- Israel kicks ass.

Israel's Security Chief Avi Dichter Says 60 Suicide Attacks Being PlannedBy Andrew HobbsJerusalem, July 31 (Bloomberg) -- Israel's security forces have information Palestinian militants are planning 60 suicide attacks, the Israeli daily newspapers Ha'aretz and the Jerusalem Post cited Avi Dichter, the head of security, as saying.
Shin Bet, the internal security service, stopped 12 suicide bombers from attacking Israel in the past week, the news services cited Dichter, the head of the service, as telling the Israeli parliament's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee yesterday. At least two would-be attacks were thwarted yesterday, the Post cited unidentified security personnel as saying.
There have been 91 bombings so far this year compared with 70 between September 2000 and December 2001, Ha'aretz said. The most recent attack came yesterday when a suicide bomber injured seven people in central Jerusalem. The military wing of Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat's Fatah group, the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, said it organized the blast, Ha'aretz reported.
Israeli security forces took control of most West Bank towns last month, imposing curfews and conducting arrests, to try to stop the bombings. Shin Bet has detained 2,259 Palestinians, 138 of whom it described as ``ticking bombs,'' Ha'aretz said.
Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon convened his security cabinet today to discuss ways to counter the attacks, Ha'aretz reported without citing anyone. Palestinian Authority Finance Minister Salam Fayad refused to accept $15 million in Palestinian taxation revenue frozen by Israel since September 2000, the Post cited Israel Radio as saying today. The Authority objects to conditions attached to the transfer, including barring money going to the Palestinian police, the Post cited Fayad as saying on Israeli radio.
The Israeli-Palestinian conflict has damaged Israel's economy, contributing to an expected contraction of 1 percent this year after it shrank 0.6 percent last year. The cabinet late yesterday passed a 2003 budget that will cut $1.8 billion in spending. More than a third of the cuts will come from defense.
Spending on combat operations and arms won't be reduced, Finance Minister Silvan Shalom said.

I totally agree. Last week, when Israelis bombed the terrorist leader's headquarters there was a huge outcry about the deaths of palestinian civilians. Israel seemed to backpeddle from their actions. Instead, I think Israel had every right to excuse the deaths of the civilians as the price of supporting a terrorist regime. I think that the only way Israel will stop the violence is to start with a 100 to 1 policy. If that doesn't work, 1000 to 1, if that doesn't work...

A man is known by the company he keeps. Jackson was still intent on meeting with Shiek Yassin, the founder of Hamas, indeed, had already crossed the checkpoint in Gaza, when the US Embassy ordered him to cancel and get his uncivil butt out of there.
My question, since his last best buddy was Bill Clinton, is how do uncivil, immoral people extend civil rights to uncivilized people who have not the slightest clue as to what civility is?

It was the international building on Hebrew University campus that was bombed. The Frank Sinatra Building, for G-d's Sake!!! At least two Americans were wounded, just updated to 2 Americans dead, 2 Americans wounded; Israeli Arabs were wounded and some might have been killed. We know there were students there from around the world. If these pr*cks wanted to gain international attention by killing all of the holier than thous indiscriminately from their *Jewish* enemies, have you yet gotten a clue?
These churches and whatever other religions are represented smiling while embracing murder to their hearts will have eternity to regret it.
We should extend a cowl to Jackson, nickname him *Bat*, leave him with the rest of the bloodsuckers, and cancel his American citizenship. That goes for all the flunkie left whether Israeli or whatever. Put them on an old, disabled aircraft carrier somewhere in some ocean as far away from land as possible and isolate them from humanity before they destroy us all. Nobody doesn't like a free cruise, especially the left, and there should be nothing left of Gaza but some broken rocks.
Everywhere we see this:

We should see this minutes later:

Then this:

And afterwards, there should be nothing but silence.

Palestinian bomb kills seven, wounds 70 at Jerusalem university
A powerful bomb planted by Palestinian militants ripped through a busy Israeli university cafeteria., killing seven people and wounding 70 others in the second attack in Jerusalem in two days.
The lunchtime blast at Hebrew University at Mount Scopus came with Israel on high alert a day after a Palestinian teenager blew himself up in downtown Jerusalem and authorities reported some 60 more attack operations are in the works.
It was the deadliest anti-Israeli attack since Palestinian militants vowed to avenge a July 22 air raid on Gaza City that killed 15 Palestinians, including nine children.
The armed wing of the radical Islamic movement Hamas claimed responsibility for Wednesday's bombing, saying in a statement it was revenge for the Gaza raid that targeted and killed its military chief Salah Shehade.
Eyewitnesses said the bomb at the cafeteria of the university law school's Frank Sinatra International Centre appeared to have been planted in a plastic sack. It exploded shortly before 2:00 pm (1100 GMT) and devastated the eatery.
The blast sent people fleeing in panic and victims staggering out of the cafeteria at the school, located in an Israeli enclave of the eastern part of Jerusalem that is mostly Arab.
Several collapsed outside and died from internal injuries, a rescue worker said, while the corpse of one woman was found inside headless. Police said seven people were killed and 70 wounded, at least nine seriously.
"It was horrible: burned people, the atrocious smell of burning flesh mixed with food," said Yoram Cohen, who manages the university's relations with Europe.
"The explosion made a terrible sound," said Michele, 37, a graduate criminology student who would not give her last name. "I saw people coming out staggering. A woman was stretched out dead."
The back-to-back attacks this week were the first here since suicide bombings June 18 and 19 that left 25 people dead and prompted a massive crackdown by the Israeli army which reoccupied most of the West Bank.
The blast came hours after Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's security cabinet met and decided on a new plan to stem the suicide bombings, according to Israeli radio.
No details were available but political sources said the cabinet decided to expel to the Gaza Strip at least one relative of a West Bank suicide bomber. The unidentified man has 12 hours to appeal the decision.
Wednesday's bombing dealt a new blow to efforts to end the 22-month-old Israeli-Palestinian conflict that has left nearly 2,400 people dead on both sides.
An Israeli government spokesman, Avi Pazner, accused Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat of "encouraging" the continuing bomb attacks to avoid carrying out reforms in his own administration.
Arafat's Palestinian Authority (PA) condemned the deadly blast Wednesday but blamed Israel for triggering the latest escalation in violence with the Gaza air strike.
"The leadership considers Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon as being responsible for this cycle of terror," the PA said in a statement. "This cycle of terror is a result of policies that are adopted by Sharon's government.
Israelis had been bracing for reprisals since the Gaza raid. Israeli public television quoted Avi Dichter, head of the Shin Bet internal security agency, as saying Palestinian militants were planning 60 suicide attacks.
Israeli forces on Wednesday blew up a bomb-making factory in the building of the Palestinian Legislative Council in the northern West Bank town of Jenin, an army spokesman said.
The soldiers found 300 kilos (660 pounds) of improvised plastic explosives, 150 kilos of fertiliser, which could be used in bomb manufacturing, and 30 containers of acid, the spokesman said.
A military spokesman said earlier that security forces had arrested a Palestinian man in Ramallah in the West Bank, just north of Jerusalem, as he was preparing a suicide attack.
But Israeli officials were stunned by the bombing at the Hebrew University, which was under heavy guard. "It was very well protected and it (the attack) raises a lot of security questions," one said.
As fears mounted of a renewed wave of attacks in the wake of the deadly Gaza air raid, Israelis and Palestinians tried to ease tensions on other fronts.
In what it termed a "test of credibility" for the new Palestinian finance minister, Israel unblocked a first tranche of the hundreds of millions of dollars of frozen Palestinian funds, which it says aims to alleviate the dire plight in the re-occupied territories.
Palestinian finance minister Salam Fayad said Israel handed over 70 million shekels (14.7 million dollars) from the customs duties and taxes withheld from the Palestinians by Israel since November 2000, two months after the start of the Palestinian uprising.
He said no conditions had been attached to the disbursement.
Israel said for its part that it would transfer, in three tranches, a tenth of the frozen 430 million dollars. But International Monetary Fund's (IMF) estimates have recently put this figure at over 600 million dollars.
