CAIRO, Egypt Aug. 3 Egyptian customs agents seized 7,000 dried lizards from a Syrian passenger Saturday, airport officials said.
Ahmed Mahmoud Salem, who was about to board a plane to the Jordanian capital, Amman, said he was going to mix the lizards with honey to make an aphrodisiac.
He was allowed to leave. Authorities kept the lizards in Egypt.

This can't be just a coincidence.
The perfect thing with which to wash down those honey-dipped dried lizards...

Is this the same place where 300 cobras escaped from a man's suitcase a few days ago?

Man! They stole my order of Lizard Jerky.
Where the heck am I supposed to get my order filled now?

This article raises so many questions:
1. Since when is it illegal to transport dried lizzards?
2. Was it really 7,000? Who counted them?
3. Did they all fit into his carry-on luggage?
4. And finally ... how many lizzards does it take to make an effective dossage?
To: kattracks
This takes the old expression about "draining the lizard" onto a new level . . . .

I'll be moving to Cairo soon
Gonna' be a lizzard tycoon
With thousands of honey soaked lizzards
All the ladies would say I was mighty grand

Can't you just see the Egyptian customs officer, sort of an Inspector Clouseau type, opening the luggage and looking inside ...
"Ah yes ... and what do we have here?"
"Those are my lizzards," said the Syrian. "I'm taking them to Jordan."
"I can see that they're lizzards; do you take me for a fool? Anyone can see that they're lizzards. But we have laws here in Egypt ... "

There were 200 cobras let loose in Cairo airport when someone's luggage was searched a few days ago. Now 7,000 lizards.
What's next, a partridge in a pear tree ?
