Well, then the "enemy" is in your midst! You might be surprised to learn just how many Muslims are in the U.S. military.

I've been in the U.S. Navy for 13 years, and the U.S. Air Force for 7 years. I can count on one hand the number of Muslims I've met. I know of none in my unit today.

I took an oath to defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic. If anyone in the U.S. military professes to be an enemy of the United States then they will be punished in the manner prescribed by the officers appointed above them. I have no fear.

Your statement is similar to the crap that the gaydeologists put out about the number of homosexuals in the U.S. It's vague and it has no real meaning. Are YOU an enemy of the United States?

Who equated Islam with Christianity? The two religions really can't be equated. Anyone who thinks they can be are very ignorant.

First of all, more paragraphs and a little less rambling would be helpful. To be honest, I didn't read your post word for word because it was a bit hard to follow. If you'd like to discuss the finer points, please feel free to bring them up again.

Second, I find it hard to believe that you are posting for the first time ever, but managed to resurrect a thread that hasn't been posted on since Oct 2002 - just how did you find this thread anyway? It couldn't have been on the first page. And by the way, I can't speak for any posts that you found offensive on this thread, because I simply read the first, saw that it was an old thread (started a year ago), went to the last post to see who had revived it, and found you.

Third, your posting name is pretty interesting. Did you know that The White Rose was a brief but very brave, intense protest by German college students against the rising Nazi regime? Great story. I doubt you signed up with that name to honor them, so what is the origin? I'm curious.

And lastly, how is it that, if Islam is so peaceful, so many Muslims are fighting around the world? I could name a dozen or so countries off the top of my head where Islamic militants are waging terrible war against their fellow man. It transcends culture, since it is readily found in every part of the world. The only common link seems to be Islam. So answer me please - if you are so forbidden to act out in violence as you say, to the point that Muslims can't harm trees, are these Muslim fighters the world over all heretics? Have they strayed from Islam's true path? How do you explain the violence they all seem to promote in the very name of Islam?

I'd love some answers. Care to discuss?

Its just the radicalism of whats being taught out there. The same is true for every religion out there. There are radical Christians, Jews, Muslims, etc. Every religion has a sect that takes whats in its holy texts, twists and contorts it then uses it to send a message they want to send out - not necessarily what it really means.

I find it hard to believe that peace can be achieved by forcing people to believe what you believe. Thats not exactly peace, thats hardcore conflict.

I think the real injustice lies in the persons in say, Muslim and Christianity who do NOTHING about the extremists in their own camps. The regular Muslim community seems to just ignore whats going on around them and actually quite alot of them don't agree with the extremist situations going on. Just like I don't agree at all with people who call themselves Christians then murder, steal, lie and cheat their ways to the top in Gods name. How ridiculous.

I grew up knowing and being friends with at least 2 Muslim believers and neither of them liked the situations. They actually expected me to for some reason befriend them because of our differing beliefs but it just goes to show that its not the majority of a religion or group that sets the WORLD VIEW of the said people - its the extremists that project the loudest voice and therefore the world view is that ALL of said people are the same.

Its a sad reality but you find me living my life in fear. Just living a life by example.
