Haven't many military leaders (of all faiths), in the past, prayed to God to help them defeat their enemies? This is nothing new.

I thought these were muslim cult leaders praying. Are you suggesting that there is no difference between a muslim cult leader and a military leader. If so you are probably correct since islam is a cult of war!

Well, considering how well (Sarcasm alert) the US and Israel seem to be doing in the sitzkreig on terrorism, maybe their prayers to Satan are working.

I’m SO glad to know that this fine imam doesn’t really speak for the majority of all muslims who are fine, peace loving supporters of tolerance and democracy. Yes, surely imam al-Badawi is being inundated with angry messages from muslims who give no quarter to this type of hatred. The “arab street” is surely just as vitriolic in condemnation for this type of vile speech as they were in expressing extreme displeasure over the Sept. 11th attacks.

Yes, muslims are our friends, they pray to the same God we do, the koran is just like The Gospels, and islam is a religion of peace…

Just goes to show what happens when an early Judeo/Christian cult goes bad.

All of the above prayers were directed of course, not to God as this mistranslation says, but to "Allah," Satan's most popular and successful alias.

If only the West would dare to fight these people, dare once again as it did in its medieval youth, to confront this evil, I think God would yet give us the victory as He did then.

These clerics are from Yemen, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar. I do not know if those countries consider themselves to be at war with Israel or not. But they are certainly not at war with the Jews and Christians of the whole world (at least not publicly). So, this is very different from the common practice of clerics of a belligerent country asking God to help them to defeat their enemies.

"satanic fertility cult "

Could you elaborate on how this applies? Not that I disagree with the gist of your post, but I'm having trouble applying the above phrase, in a classical sense, to a dogma that regards women as livestock. Purely an academic question, not a criticism.

You are certainly right about treatment of women. But, Mohammed did have numerous wives and islam promotes polygamy. They also promise their acolytes 72 virgins in paradise (want to buy a bridge?). This qualifies it as a fertility cult in a rough sense. By the way, one of Mohammed's wives was taken when she was 9 years old.

I see absolutely nothing redeeming about this warlike violent oppressive totalitarian religion that seeks to kill all non-muslims and impose their ridiculous 7th century arabian culture on 21st centure societies. It's time for the United States to drop its "all religions are equal" policy and outlaw this horrible cult in the United States! People should not be free to practice religions that promote violence - this is not in the spirit of the Establishment clause. Anyone with a modicum of knowledge in history knows that islam is not peace. Islam is death, mutilation, and more death and mutilation. If our lame leadership can get past their own myopic multiculturalistic dilusions, perhaps they can begin to protect the United States as MANDATED by the Constitution! If we don't get mean with these people - and fast - these radicals will eventually destroy America as we know it.

~grin~ Nice try...

You said: "Maybe they are all right and none wrong"

That is an incompetent statement. Factoring in the Feudal contrariety between the differing faiths, your assertion could only be put forward in an honest manner but someone "incompetent" where Religions of the World are concerned.

If I may skip ahead a couple of hundred posts...

You're seemingly a transparent contrarian to religious order more than anything else. This is what leads to your incompetence.

"Allah" is the Arabic word for "God", used by Arabic speaking Christians as well as Muslims.

Yes, but The "Allah" of Islam is a false god originating from the pre-islamic arabian culture wherein there were 360 deities (sun, moon, stars). Allah was originally known as "Al-Ilah" and praying toward Mecca, pilgrimages to the Kabah, etc. were all in place before Mohammed. So much for the Koran coming directly from heaven to Mohammed. Islamic is an irrational cult that has no basis in evidence or archeology for the claims that it makes.

All religions are man-made. It is those that are in power that are doing the murdering, using a religion as an excuse, and a manipulative device, as it has been since men first realized they could use it to their advantage. I don't know whether a moral relativist is good or bad, but it appears you meant it in a deragatory manner.

If you believe that then the logical conclusion is that all religions are not divine hence erroneous.

Would you then state that Jesus Christ is not Lord and that there is no Holy Spirit?

Do you have evidence to prove that all religions are man-made or is this your personal view that you take on faith? Since all religions are equal, then your religion - atheism - is also included. Remember? Atheism is the relgion that gave us Stalin and Mao and 100 million murders. You obviously have a very poor grasp of the contrasts between the various religions. Asserting it does not make it true.

Okay, I get your drift about it being a "fertility cult". Not sure if that is the best generality to use, but it does give me something new to consider.

As far as your other statements, in general, I think you are a little bit too kind to them. There are some belief systems and practices which are simply incompatible with a free and progressive society; pedophilia, theft, extortion, islam, these are examples of anti-social value-systems.
