Looks real to me, but goofy. The magazine release and charging handle look real, so does the ejection port(though it has no cover). Some sort of big sight rail on top.

I don't think that is a Colt variant. It follows the pattern of the Colt, but bear in mind that there are a number of non-standard (and probably unlicensed) manufacturers of Colt pattern rifles in the world. The parts are easy to get and the hard part is the manufacture of the receiver. You can do that with some relatively simple dies and an aluminum casting machine. Presto, you have an arms plant.
I don't think that is a Colt because the sight rail is wrong, the forend is wrong (not Colt) and I can't see a forward assit device.
To: Dogrobber
I was just going by size and shape. I guess it would be a knockoff of the M-4 then. I knew there were tons of versions of all the AR-15 variations.

Also noticed it was the only one of it's genre in the picture, the rest look like AK's.

Bump for amazing photos and a great job Diogenesis.

Thanks Dio - excellent as always. Photos like this one below make you wish for a really strong EMP burst overhead to set these losers off a little early.
Go ahead, tough guy - let's see you do it. If you want to be a martyr, be our guest. DIE PALI SCUM!

Seeing those RPG-7s going off kinda reminds me of the Bedouins in the Sinai when I was there - those crazy
a@@holes would use them for fence posts to keep their camels nearby. Every time we'd see one of them start pounding on one of them we'd duck behind the bunker.

What a loss, what a wonderful example of America. Not one of them over there was worth a hair on his head.
