I am so disappointed! I keep going thread to thread trying to find pictures from the conference, and this is all I have found so far! Have I missed the right thread?

I can verify that uglybiker is too ugly to be photographed. Fortunately for us, he was on the other end of the camera.

Oh, I managed to get in front of the camera once or twice.
(Here I am with Cyber Liberty.)

Somebody made the comment that I was the 'Dapper' biker.

Here's a couple of mine:

Jeff Head relating some of his adventures in Klamath.

Diotima playing M.C.

I've got to laugh at this. You certainly don't look like what I imagined! :) (Not ugly, but dapper indeed!) And somehow I'd always thought of Cyber Liberty as a female. I've must get off these threads and to a conference where I can meet people face to face! LOL

Don't worry, Cyber Liberty, I gave Kristinn a "sex change" as well, but was perfectly happy to put him back in the "original" column. LOL, don't take it personally Cyber -you look great for a guy! :)

Leni, I believe that this is the first meeting that I have attended that you haven't been at. You were missed! Laura Ingram was great, seminars were informative and everyone - well, as usual... each person was an old friend. Ideas flowed - we used each other as a sounding boards literally tossing words and ideas at each other like softballs.

The seminar was excellent - Matt, Ty and Nancy did an excellent job on such subjects as networking, funding, media and etc. The information provided simply whetted the appetite to learn more.

Oh and of course we can't forget the food and other amenities that were provided for us. Acommdations at the Treasure Island were very nice. Rooms clean and were never neglected by the service staff at the Treasure Island. Food for the cocktail party, luncheon and awards dinner was well presented and very tasteful (in other words - I think a lot of people went back for seconds, especially the desserts!)

All in all, I learned a lot. I met people who shared like ideas/ideals and wanted to learned how to become better at thier involvement within their communities and their chapters.

Oh, you bet it was a blast - in more ways than one! Thank you and kudos to everyone who put this together.

Hi, Dixie! I was SO disappointed I couldn't be there! Last February I bought a "vacation" condo in Illinois where my family lives. It's undergoing extensive remodeling. My contractor told me at that time I'd have to come up from Florida in August to approve his work and to schedule some more. Since I'm not his only client, I had to dance to his schedule.

So, here I am in the Chicago burbs, working my fanny off in my essentially barren digs. At least I have the essentials, a bed, table, chair, computer and an ash tray, hah! The fun part will be the furnishing and selecting all those nice little artsy decorating items!

However, I had fun being "FRiva Diva" and doing all the "color" blurbs on the Vegas threads. Soon, I hope to put on my "Bahama Mama" hat for the potential spring Freeper conference cruise. NOTHING will stop me from this event. Hope to see you and some of the SC stalwarts on board!

Leni

At least you have the essentials, It's going to be fun shopping! That's my favorite part - I can always find what I want as long as I have no money, but give me the cash and I can't find a thing!!!!!

That's amazing ... Katie looks younger every time I see her!By the time I make it back to CPAC, I'm going to feel like her mother.

Because I can be confident you'll know I'm not joking ... I am bummed I couldn't make it. As Dixie or someone said above, it is good to put faces with names and realize you're dealing with real people who aren't nearly so insane or scary or One-Note in person as they may appear to be on the Forum.

Best regards, guy. Maybe next time.

Looks like you guys had a lot of fun and it's nice to have the Muth play-by-play. I'd only take issue in that it does no good to have a great campaign celebrating all the right Ideas if the candidate doesn't follow through and vote accordingly ... =)
