Oh, that is too bad. We are sure proud of those Missouri FReepers who go out every Saturday to counter-protest those pro-terrorist, anti-American idiots in Columbia. I can tell you Bahbah, FReeping is addicting. Hope you can make it to the next one. Thanks, Amy, for posting the threads and photos for our Missouri FReepers and for the pings. I look forward to it.
At least I can visit with you all here.
Yes, and we are very happy, since you can't be there, you can be here.
From what I have heard, he loved his country very much. I appreciate his military service as well as the music he left us.
On 24 March 1958, Elvis Aaron Presley began his service in the United States Army. Private Elvis Presley carried his duffle bag aboard the United States Troop Transport Ship, the USS General M. Randall (T-AP-115) on 22 September 1958 for his trip overseas.
Born into poverty in East Tupelo, Mississippi, Elvis Aaron Presley would grow up to become a Veteran, serving his country with pride, and the most famous entertainer of the twentieth century.
Sorry we had to miss the Rally last night. I always hate it when we can't go. Will try to be there next Friday. I saw where you all went to In-n-Out. Did you pin your note on reminding you to order your "well done" fries? :-)
You know, with all the Texas pride around this place, I am envious. California "pride" has all but died out here, the libs have seen to that. There are many good things to say about the San Joaquin Valley, but can't think of much good to say about CA in general.
Hmmmmm, I think it is time to post my dump Davis graphic again........
LOL! Must have been that little bluebird that I have seen flitting around here. :-)
Thank you, Billie, for creating the pledge graphic for me today. It does look much better than the one I did.
Of course, you are much more than just "Mr. Winky", LOL! But I couldn't fit "one of our favorite 'FR's Finest' patriots, a most valued contributor, and all around nice guy" all on that one line. So, I condensed it down to "Mr. Winky". ;-)
Looks like I am all alone in here today. The echo is deafening. LOL!
See you all in awhile. Have a good day everyone. I'll check back later and see if anyone else straggled in. :-)
Unfortunately, I am not going to be able to do the tributes anymore (at least not until the first of the year) because of work responsibilities, but I will be posting the weekend threads for Billie and Daisy. That way I can continue to help out and be part of the "Finest thread hostess babes" team.
See you later.
Ah-ha! Thanks. I spent a bit of time on my thread yesterday and this morning. It's got some nice pics on it now. I've copied GailA's link to that web site and I'll post some more pics and her link to my thread later on. If anyone would like to see my thread, click here.
Thankyou!......Thankyouverymuch!
