The un-slap heard 'round the world Kathleen Parker
August 21, 2002
'You know, some days I get so frustrated I just want to go up to the closest black person and say, 'You can't understand this, it's a white thing,' and then slap him, just for my mental health."
Outrageous, right? No one said it. But what I wrote, only with the races switched, is what a black New York City Council member, Charles Barron, did say.
Lest there be any confusion, here are Barron's exact words: "I want to go up to the closest white person and say, 'You can't understand this, it's a black thing' and then slap him, just for my mental health."
Barron, whose mental health may indeed be in question, made his remark during a reparations rally in Washington, D.C., this past Sunday. He was joined by other black activists, Louis Farrakhan and U.S. Rep. John Conyers, a Democrat from Michigan, who has been pursuing the slavery reparations issue in Congress. Conyers has introduced legislation HR 40 ("Commission to Study Reparations Proposals for African-Americans Act"), which proposes studying the effects of slavery on black Americans and authorizes appropriations.

Have you seen the froth he's kicked up backpedaling? Typical shoot-from-the-lip Leftist tool. And of course, his race will protect him from the censure he so richly deserves.

C'mon, Bubba, whatever office you hold will not stop a .45 from entering your worthless brain from the front...

Reparations in 230 grain increments.

I could tell you what I'd like to do "for my mental health", but my comment would get deleted.
Black Americans had better start doing something to counteract what these "African" Americans are doing - which is to tear our country apart! If the latter had their way, we would be treated just like the whites in Zimbabwe.

That is exactly what he said! When asked to explain his comment on talk radio, Barron said it was "black hyperbole, and whites wouldn't understand it". When the host challenged why couldn't a white say something, Barron said that "whites don't joke that way" and that white insults are really insults but black statements are just hyperbole.
He really said that, and the sad thing is, many people believe that to be true, that by virtue of being white you have less rights of speech than anyone else.
"I want to go up to the closest white person and say, 'You can't understand this, it's a black thing' and then slap him, just for my mental health."
OOH! OOH! Pick me! Pick me!
Of course, I'd probably get charged with a hate crime for kicking his racist *ss...
