"What do I have to do to make you love me?

"What do I need to be heard?

"What do I do if lightning strikes me?

"Sorry seems to be the hardest word..."

[name that tune]

;-) Then you're about ten years, or more, younger than I. The seventies to me were Waylon, Willie and the boys. Country type decade for me.

Nice to see ya without your credit card machine in hand. JL

Mo, what's worse, is seeing RHPS on video. Nothing beats going to the theater, seeing the freaks dressed up and doing the time warp in the aisles. Brad and Janet!!!!

I, uh, let my friend borrow the flashlight. Yeah, that's it. And, I, uh, hated popcorn so the toast never made it to the wedding scene.

"hey girl whatcha doin down there"

I didn't even know that was the first line in the lyrics to "Knock Three Times". The copy of the record we had always skipped at that part.

Here is a funny story

The kiddies school had this spring show where a bunch of classes sung different songs

I had to stay home with the baby so the hubby took the older ones to see it ..

Well they come home all happy and my 6 yr old is singing the Time Warp at the top of her lungs ..

However since they go to a catholic school and few of the words were changed to protect the innocent .. LOL

I know many of the classic 60's country songs.

Heh heh ... your wish is my command ...

Drop kick me Jesus through the goal posts of life
End over end neither left nor to right
Straight through the heart of them righteous uprights
Drop kick me Jesus through the goal posts of life.

Make me, oh make me, Lord more than I am
Make me a piece in your master game plan
Free from the earthly tempestion below
I’ve got the will, Lord if you’ve got the toe.

Drop kick me Jesus through the goal posts of life
End over end neither left nor to right
Straight through the heart of them righteous uprights
Drop kick me Jesus through the goal posts of life.

Take all the brothers who’ve gone on before
And all of the sisters who’ve knocked on your door
All the departed dear loved ones of mine
Stick’em up front in the offensive line.

Drop kick me Jesus through the goal posts of life
End over end neither left nor to right
Straight through the heart of them righteous uprights
Drop kick me Jesus through the goal posts of life.

Oh, I know that song! It's right on the tip of my tongue.
Is it an Elton John song?

D'ohkay. Thanks - I haven't been able to find the guy since the mid 80s; I don't doubt you had no luck either.

Well, if you hate me anyway.....(could we dedicate this one to all those who've left FR for greener pastures?)

See the tree, how big it's grown
But friend, it hasn't been too long, it wasn't big
I laughed at her and she go mad
The first day that she planted it, was just a twing

Then the first snow came
And she ran up to brush the snow away so it wouldn't die
Came running in, all excited
Slipped and almost hurt herself and I laughed till I cried
She was always young at heart, kind of dumb and kind of smart
And I loved her so
And I surprised her with a puppy
Kept me awake all Christmas Eve two years ago
And it would sure embarrass her when I came in from working late
'Cause I would know
That she'd been sitting there and crying
Over some sad and silly late late show
And honey, I miss you and I'm being good
And I'd love to be with you if only I could
She wrecked the car and she was sad
And so afraid that I'd be mad, but what the heck
Though I pretended hard to be
Guess you could say she saw through me and hugged my neck
I came home unexpectedly
And caught her crying needlessly in the middle of the day
And it was in the early spring, when flowers bloom and robins sing
She went away
And Honey, I miss you and I'm being good
And I'd love to be with you if only I could
One day while I was not at home
While she was there and all alone, the angels came
Now all I have is memories of Honey

And I wake up nights and call her name
Now my life's an empty stage
Where Honey lived and Honey played
And love grew up
And a small cloud passes overhead
And cries down on the flower bed that Honey loved
