Jerusalem Post ^

Three IDF soldiers were injured, one moderately and two lightly, when Hizbullah fired at their outpost in the Har Dov area Thursday afternoon. They were evacuated to hospital, Israel Radio repoirted.

The Hizbullah had been firing mortar shells and missiles at the IDF outposts in the area during the afternoon, in what was the first time in several months that Hizbullah fires at Israel.

Hizbullah stopped its fire at the outpost at around 18:30 local time, the report added.

Lebanese police were quoted in the report as saying said that IAF war planes bombed Hizbullah outposts in the Sheba'ah Farms area earlier Thursday.

Another, "look over there" move by Iraq. It will pick up as the heat is increased on them.

Yet what is Lebanon doing to curtail these activities? Nothing. In other words, they approve of (and probably help supply) these terrorists and their activities.

It seems to me that this neighbor of Israel doesn't really value their lives and land, as they are giving Israel a lot of reasons to kick their butts.

I think Lebanon has for some time been under the control of Syria. A free Lebanon is a thing of the distant past.

Lebanon is under Syrian control. Ask Damascus why they are harboring these terrorists and allowing such terrorist activities.

If Iraq attacks Israel do you think we will begin our assault on Iraq at that point?

"Lebanese police were quoted in the report as saying said that IAF war planes bombed Hizbullah outposts in the Sheba'ah Farms area earlier Thursday."

Good. Serves Lebanon right for harboring Hezbollah and giving them a shroud of "ligitimacy" with it's borders. It'd serve Lebanon right if Sharon decided the attack constitutes an act of war and destroys the whole country.

They don't just approve...they consider Hezhollah to be a ligitimate group fighting for 'freedom'. According to whorealdo, some of the terrorists have even become elected officials in the areas where they have their bases.

Hizbullah keeps this up, and Israel is gonna' bitch-slap Syria.
They have already been warned about this crap, (by Israel through Egypt).

Nope! Israel would take Iraq out before we could get in position. Israel, out of necessity, stays "Cocked and Locked".

I keep hoping the U.S. will lease/lend Israel a dozen B-52's to do some ARC LIGHTS on the Bekka Valley where Hizbollah hang out.

Might take out some of the Syrian military helping them. That might make it possible for the people of Lebanon to regain control of their nation.

I agree. Hezbollah was started by Iran originally and is in large part still funded and supplied by iran. In striking at Iraq, Syria or Lebanon, they'll be hitting at lesser targets while allowing the main target to escape to continue the terror.

Why haven't WE taken out the Bekaa Vally in OUR 'war on terror'...and give Syria a look at consequences while we are at it.... too much palaver ....swift strikes without warning, repeated until the message is clear...with NO further apology or explanation....let the recipient figure out how to avoid hellfire....

Correct. Both uncilivilzed countries should be invaded, conquered, and subjugated by the west. Then, let them govern themselves after they convince the west that they can act in a civilized manner vis their neighbors. They don't attack their neighbors, they can govern themselves in any manner that they choose. If they fail to comply, they will become vassal states, subjucated by their more civilized superiors -- the west. That's all.

BTW, the same goes for Iraq, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Pakistan, etc. etc.

Love to see it, but ain't gonna happen then. Most likely Dec/Jan, with Nov the earliest. Need a bit more logistics and "conference with alies". IMO, of course. 9/11 would indeed be a great day to start a war with these pukes!
