At least, in the end, we won 50-17 over Appalachian State. But dear God, that photo looks somewhere between silly and pornographic.

Since when did they start recruiting male cheerleaders?

This picture represents what football is all about. Players putting everything into the game.

Not some cheerleader riding on the back of Moose?

Gessh, you could have at least posted a female cheerleader.

Disclaimer: Not a Dallas fan, just only decent piture I could find to post.

Moose? Moose? That looks like a buffalo. Do you think that cheerleader is queer or something? Why would he hump a moose.

Hell, I've had at least eight if not more of those injuries listed during my work career, but the difference is, I've got to do 25 years with these ailments before I can retire and I don't get paid as much.

Yeah, it does look like a buffalo. The buffalo looks like it is copping a feel.

The only cheerleaders I watch have pompoms if you know what I mean

I agree, I got a shoulder that droops about a half inch lower than the other one from tackling running backs with my right shoulder. That's been 25 years ago .

The picture was only to point out cheerleaders are not what football is all about, especially male cheerleaders getting a ride on a buffalo.

IMHO, there should only be male cheerleaders if they give us BB guns to torment them with. Now that may be more fun than Football!

And I'll bet you at least half of those injuries to ol' Troy Ache-man were the result of defenders from the Philadelphia E-A-G-L-E-S.

Ha, ha! We (Central Michigan) beat the hapless Bearkats of Sam Houston State 34-10. Let's hope that's a start on a winning season. Next Saturday vs. Wyoming is going to be tough, could get our butts kicked. We play Marshall at home October 26.

Just watched a documentary on TV about the 1970 Marshall football tragedy ... returning from a game against East Carolina on November 14, 1970 their charter flight crashed on approach to the Huntington, WV airport. All on board were killed. The following season the football program resumed and with a rag tag group of football players pulled together from the student body, and a few players who had not made the trip, went on to their best season in 20 years, winning their conference in 1971.

May be a good idea for the NFL.

alright mutt, I was a cheerleader for a year in college,
It was tough, not as tough as Highschool football, but a heck of a lot more fun.
ended up getting married to my partner.
and as the proud parent of two teenage girls who are both outstanding cheerleaders,
it is a sport.
and a tough one to boot, two broken teeth, two concussions, one triple compound fracture.
and just try and stop them, they could/would kick some butts.

I know it's tough...and there are always exceptions. The SNL skits have forever turned me off to the concept, though. In years past, when cheers were just that, not pseudo strip-shows, I could see it.

This obviously does not apply to you guys, and I apologize for any offense.

...is it safe....are they sneaking up on me....whew!

not sneaking up on ya yet, trust me with 7 brothers I took my share of ribbing,
until they saw all the teenage girls wanting me to lift them in the air.
They quickly changed their minds,
I do have to agree in highschool they should have sensible dress codes,
Now college and pro's is a different story, they are adults and can wear whatever they want.
now back to your normal proraming....

Do you mean that football is not primarily to give men an excuse for massive group hugs (both lying around in the mud on top of each other and standing up back slapping each other) as well as an excuse to grab at each other between the legs from behind every few minutes in broad daylight?

fingers in cheek [my own] part end.

Sure is a lot of passion about something if all the yelling is any clue.

And people get upset at Pentecostals and Charismatics for making noise about Jesus. Interesting.
