The Superior Court lawsuit was filed Tuesday by Martha Weaver against Catholic Healthcare West, operators of St. John's Pleasant Valley Hospital in Camarillo, and Nationwide Nursing Service Inc., which employed the nurse who made the June 19 call.

She should get over it. I've never heard of a more groundless lawsuit. Sure, the hospital made a mistake, but that's only being human - it was simply a record mix-up. But leave it to lawyers to find room for greed even when its not justified.

Agreed. I'd really like to see the receipts she used to tally up $17,500 worth of "damages".

In a class I'm taking, the professor told us last night that the US boasts 70% of the world's lawyers.

yeah, but when the hospital ignored my critically wounded son for 20 minutes, I have no case.

He's fine now.

Maybe she thought that $18,000 sounded too greedy.

I've never heard of a more groundless lawsuit.

Really, how about FLT. 587 TRUCKER FILES SUIT FOR $5M.

This guy sues for $5 Million because parts of a crashing plane fell near him.

This happened to my husband's aunt! They called her in the middle of the night to tell her her husband had died. When she went the next morning to the hospital to sign some papers she happened to see him in the being wheeled down the hall for another test. She almost fainted.

Given the foul up's in so many hospitals, she is lucky they didn't go into his hospital room and recitfy their mistake. "Oh, you're suppose to be dead...bang". Can't have paper work errors now can we.
