Lesson one: Don't mess with women in Georgia.

Lesson two: Don't blow through toll gates in Florida.

Probably misinformation, but I thought they reported yesterday that the three admitted to the police that they were just joking...now ,of course, they deny it.

Don't patrol cars carry the dashboard video cameras? That would certainly document the stop. The sister's contention that they saw them being roughed up on live TV (if that's indeed what she said) is too bogus for words.

glad you brought this up. Hope this doesn't disappear because of the latest developments. I'd like the police to respond to this charge!

Eunice did the right thing. This sob's should know better than to 'joke', if indeed that's what they were attempting.

In The Name of Allah
Most Merciful and Compassionate

Seyyed Hossein Nasr

The Study of Shi`ism

In our view, the practice of taqiyah is permitted if there is definite danger facing one's own life or the life of one's family, or the possibility of the loss of the honor and virtue of one's wife or of other female members of the family,or the danger of the loss of one's material belongings to such an extent as to cause complete destitution and prevent a man from being able to continue to support himself and his family.

The practice of taqiyah is expressly commanded in Druze writings: "...for our Lord Hakim bi Amir Allah has said: should a nation overcome you, follow it, but keep me in your hearts. What does this mean? Outwards not inwards." Combined with their belief in reincarnation, the taqiyah allowed them to adapt to almost any society, and might explain the deep loyalty of the Carmel Druze to the Government of Israel. However it will be never a loyalty by heart. "Reincarnation means that I can be an IDF soldier in this life, but I can be reborn tomorrow as a Syrian soldier," explained one young Druze serving in the Israeli army. When Druze doctrine mandates one to "keep Al Hakim in the heart," it should be recalled that Al Hakim persecuted Jews and Christians. As a Caliph, he destroyed many Christians sites in Jerusalem, including the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, helping to trigger the First Crusades.

I would think that's a factor here - I have to remind myself that, unlike the (ACK!) Clinton years, not everything is played out in the media a la a bad "Cops" show.

...I believe that is called the "O.J. defense".......

I thought I heard at least one policeman say something about a hoax/joke. But, they never seemed to clear it up. Did the cop think it was a hoax or did these guys admit to it??? Orlando Salina early this morning had said that they started talking when they were released, and he said they were tired of being profiled so they played this joke. But in later reports he never mentions this again. Hoping the public will forget that this was a hoax???? So, that the guys can get away with denying it?

Actually, the car tag was explained on the local news in Chicago, but I forgot the explanation. It was a temporary plate, so it didn't match--something like that. In any event, the plates were NOT stolen.

I heard pretty much the same thing. But then why did this Munyo guy, shrug his shoulders and say 'maybe they were stolen'?

Munyo is who the police talked to in Illinois about the tags. The tags belonged to a brown? buick.

That's where its starts to get confusing....

Here is the deal, Muslims; WE know that YOU know who the terrorists are amongst you; you're a tightknit community. Want it to stop? Two things you can do: 1) Act outraged at 9-11; 2) COUGH THEM UP.

That's what happened in upper new york state. The Yemani men arrested were given up by other Muslims in their mosque. At least thats what they were saying on Fox.
