Yeah, Al... Maybe if we send Saddam some tanks and airplanes, he will be nice to us.

Poor little Gore, desperately trying to seem significant in some whiny little way - WHEN HE'S NOT!!! It's great that he'll be running again, because it will totally mess up the Democrats. Just like the first time, he'll help us to (re)elect Bush president. Thank you, Mr. Gore!

"If you are going after Jesse James you ought to organize the posse first," Yup, he's the guy I want organizing the posse all right.

The liberal (aka mainstream) press has been cutting Democrat leaders to pieces for kowtowing to Bush and not taking a principled stand on this issue. Obviously, Democrats can't say what they really think because they're in the throes of an election.
But Gore isn't running for anything. He can say anything he wants and with this speech, he will be branded courageous and heroic by the press. They will be praising Gore up and down for not bowing to public opinion--for standing on principle--blah, blah. That's why he's out there now.
Democrats who might be thinking of a presidential bid must be sweating bullets. Gore's getting a big jump on them because you know after the election's over, Democrats who have designs on the WH are going to play to the far left (e.g. anti-war) wing of their party. Any votes, resolutions, etc. granted to Bush regarding the war will be downplayed, rationalized, demonized (even though they would have voted for them).
But Gore's already outflanked them. This is great to see. Puff Daschle, El Loco Poco Dicko, John Fitzgerald Kerry, Bob (Clinton is an unusually good liar) Kerrey, John (pretty boy) Edwards are being left behind in the dust.
Look for Gore to pop up on a weekly (if not daily basis) with this anti-Bush rhetoric. It serves his political plans very well.

Thanks Al. Your opinion on the subject matters as much to me as those of Hubert Humphrey, Al Smith, and William Jennings Bryan.
(Three other dead DemocRATS, in case you were wondering).

"If you are going after Jesse James you ought to organize the posse first," They had 8 years to organize the posse, but chose to organize the pu$$y.

A typically dumb Gore initiative.
If the U.S. wins the Iraq war with low casualties, he looks like an idiot.
If the U.S. wins the war with high casualties, he's forced to state how he would have done it better. Based on what? The few months he spent in Vietnam as a Elvis-type celebrity private in public affairs?
If the war is a military disaster, he would have to deal with the mess.
If he succeeds in preventing a U.S. attack, he would have to deal with Iraqi nuclear weapons, and quite likely, Iraqi attacks.
Gore: Bush's dream opponent in 2004.

The speech is on CSPAN now!!!

Al didn't have any qualms about bombing Yugoslavia*.
*What was the reason for that again?
As a matter of fact, it was Al's job to call the Russians and tell them to go home and not bother making a last minute appeal not to attack Yugoslavia.

This guy is dumber than what he portrays... a friggin wooden stump, with a brain a fire hydrant. Like most democratic politicians, he's a urine attractant.

In a few months, when Sadaam is overthrown and our enemies are scurrying under the rocks throughout the middle east, Al Gore is going to appear the monumental fool there's ever been.
The only person who will be dense enough to miss it will be ol' woody himself.
