Speaking of hypocrisy on the part of the Anti Flag kid, I remember an article a while back on Rage Against the Machine. I like some of their tunes, but it's hard to put aside the sorry ass marxist lyrics. The article was touting how the members "gave" to social justice causes, somthing like 60K for one of them. I wondered how many teens take the logical leap of figuring how much a pittance this is compared to the millions those guys must have pulled on their albums and tours.

I think Ann Coulter was talking about the 60% who don't care about politics, don't study what each side is up to (they're all the same... and that garbage) and still go out and vote. There are many people voting for democrats that have no idea that dems will raise your taxes, and grow the government with they're socialized medicine and such. That's the 60% she speaks of. What she left out was the small percentage who know whats going on, and choose to stay out of it. A different breed altogether. The scariest are the ones who know what the dems are up to (socializing America) and still vote for them.

This kid is the same as most of those who protested the Vietnam war. It's just an opportunity to rebel - doesn't matter against what. He doesn't really have a clue what he's against any more than I did when I protested the Vietnam war. Hopefully, this kid will do what many of us previous rebels did - grow up and get a clue. Where she gets her numbers is anyone's guess if that is indeed her point. Just because many people see no reason to be involved in a process which will result in things which they do not want, no matter who the vote for, doesn't mean they don't care about politics.

There are many people voting for democrats politicians of all stripes, including Republicans, that have no idea that dems politicians will raise your taxes, and grow the government with they're socialized medicine and such.

Seems to me that there are many on this forum who want to sit out and wait until that 'perfect' leader comes along. Unfortunately, we are all individuals and therefore we will never agree 100% on what the changes are that need to be made. We are also human, so there will never be a 'perfect' leader. In fact, those who stand behind someone because they believe him/her to be perfect are those that help to create the monsters that have murdered millions on this earth.
