You were on a balcony in a hotel? Right? It would have been tempting to pour Lemonade over them, saying "P*ss on you all, you TRAITORS"!! (sorry, couldn't resist) I'm sooo bad!!

I was in Seattle yesterday for this atrocity and tried to find your group! I ended up doing a single person freep in front of Nordstroms. Resplendent in my Fire Department Shirt, My shouts of " We dont care what you say, we are going to bomb them anyway" were quickly shouted down and then I was politely asked to refrain by one of Seattles finest.
It was noteable that I only saw two american flags in the whole march, both desecrated with anti-american slogans. I do not believe I could have restrained myself if one of them had been set on fire.

How is fluidic space, today? We were on the corner in front of Starbucks right across from all the media vans...you can see the fountain in this shot, I think...
I hope someone got a shot of our trumpet player...it was great singing the Star Spangled Banner and seeing the shame on people's faces that they weren't on the same side...Get on the WA st ping list "post" Haste! I need someone to nerd out on Star Trek With!!!

This young lady could pose for the next generation Statue of Liberty. They weren't FReepers...they drove up from Tacoma to join in the counterprotest...I think the hubby was military...My emotions were summed up pretty well by the chap in the lower left corner!;-I

"How is fluidic space, today" My little piece of southern Alaskan rain forest is living up to it's name today - LOL
Looks like I only missed you guys by a couple of blocks. I only get down to seattle occasionally for some shopping now and then so it's kind of easy for me to get lost.
Maybe next time!

What a lot of ugly things Seattle contributes to this country. Defacing the flag???
Oh as if the Seattle 'protesters' ever do anything that interesting. They just walk down the street, get into drum circles, chant a bit, and then go home and smoke some dope.
I can't remember who said it, but he described Seattle as a place that's too busy trying to have INclusion to ever come to a CONclusion. Everything around here is just talk, talk.

It was great to FReep with you all on Sunday! Pretty exhilerating, yes? Not often we get an opportunity like that! LOL

Would this "Seattle's finest" be the same that did nothing when the blacks went wilding on Mardi Gras?
Perhaps it was administrative in nature, but the cops did nothing when an assault, murder, and most likely an attempted rape was taking place.
Was there an order not to intervene?

Thanks everyone for coming by and for your kind words of support. It meant a lot to us to be there waving our flags - (believe me you're going to see them!) I'll be picking up my pictures on Wednesday and will post asap. I finished posting this Report near midnight and wasn't able to get back to your comments right away, but our chapter thanks you for every single one! :)
Thank you!

Yes, there was an order not to intervene, Orion. It was given by Chief Kerlikowski (sp) whom I believe was not there. The officers were told to stand and they had to watch. Then they had to go in afterwards. RE: political behavior, strange as it may seem, some officers on the force are not on our side. The side they are on calls them pigs and spits on them during political events. But life is a mystery...

Evening MarMema, will do! :)
