Four Arrested In Voter Fraud Scheme Monday October 21, 2002 5:58pm
Oklahoma City (AP) - Four Haskell County residents have been charged with offering drugs for votes in a 2000 Sheriff's race.
The four residents allegedly promised a "quarter paper" of methamphetamine for anyone voting for then Sheriff candidate Charles Cary.
The accused are Eddie Copeman, Charles Copeman Junior, Sammy Dwight Copeman and Romonia Blunt.
The 16 felony charges each carry fines of up to one-thousand dollars and up to two years in prison.
Cary lost the election.
Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman Kym Koch says agents have been working on the case since the 2000 elections.

If they are guilty, lock them up for 30-40 years or more.
I put vote fraud schemes right up there with armed robbery.

Gee, that was two years ago. At that rate, we'll NEVER get McAuliffe.

Haskell is one of the most Dem counties in Okieland, and I think one of about five that favored Gore. Just a bit of trivia which I learned when I was into the redistricting mode.

Why isn't it suprising to me that the fact they are RATS is never mentioned in any of this type article.

Well maybe the four were among the dozen or so Pubbies in the County. One can never be sure.
