I'm still sifting through all the photos I took on Saturday, but have begun uploading them to web. So, rather than making everyone wait until I get them all up, here's what I've got so far...

For those of you who always worry that we are in danger, I offer the first bunch of images:

Mounted Park Police before the Patriots rally begins.

When the leftists arrived, at our stage left, the Mounties rode in to keep the peace.

Mounted police watch the lefties.

Park police guard the Patriot Potties.

Motorcycle police

Bicycle police

More police!

Iraqi exiles on street corner, left the anti-war marcher speechless

And for those of you who wanted to see the pix of Malik Shabazz strolling along our FReeper-secured perimeter:

New Black Panther Party leader Malik Shabazz never did answer the question of why he hates white people.

New Black Panthers, late to arrive at the anti-war rally, find their way to the march blocked by lines of police.

New Black Panthers discuss how they will enter the (already in progress) anti-war march.

Malik still won't speak.

Shabazz listens to the officer who tells him how to get into the march.

I'm sure that it's just the sun playing tricks on the appearance of the cop's glove.

For those DC Chapter members who are presently being targeted by the One People's Project website owner, study his face; in case you see him hanging out at your trashcans or writing down your tag numbers:

"Hi! I'm the guy who is trying to collect all kinds of info about FReepers who counter-protest his lefty friends

The man behind the One People's Project website.

For the good Doctor (Raoul) and others who love puppets:

Not too many puppets at this march, but here's a couple of folks in costume.

Hurray! They brought a PUPPET!

Next comes the signs carried by the peaceful anti-war folks. Warning: many contain obscenities

Lots of this professionally printed sign in the march

International Socialist Organization spent a lot of capitalist dollars to print a ton of these signs

Looks like this camel may have suffered birth defects (look at its legs) from poison gas that Saddam used.

At least this one is homemade, and without obscenities.

Can you believe that she wanted to use the Patriot Potties?!

Now that's profound. Not!

Zeus Guy wandered into our rally with his little red wagon (I am not kidding. He left pretty quick though :-)

Another pre-printed anti-war sign.

This guy entered our rally site with his disruptor buddies.

Unless the dissenting opinion is against the leftist line.

Calling us Nazis.

A diversity of signs, but not of faces.

Was that Friendship Heights' ex-mayor carrying this sign?

There were so many pre-printed signs there, it looked like a DNC event!

Well, I have to give him an "A" in spelling, anyway.

More intelligent commentary.

More signs to come...

Anti-war marchers' signage, continued:

Your tax dollars at work.

Coming to a city near you, sooner than you may think.

Is that James Carville?

And Hillary! is holding her sign up high, I see.

Jimmy Carter had his sign, too.

Carville again?!

Maybe he played the album backwards. Oh, Oh! He means Paul Wellstone

Look at all the white children of privilege.

thanks for pics... always interesting

Also, you said something about a guy trying to put together dossiers on FReepers. What's the deal with that? I hadn't heard.

:-) I knew that. It just looked a little funny to me, is all. Maybe that's my signal to get some sleep. Staring at pictures all evening has warped my senses and crossed my eyes to the point that I try and find a little humor in some tricks of the sunlight.

Yeah, this guy has a website that you ought to check out One People's Project

He has a fixation on FR in general and the DC Chapter in particular; he writes a column, if you can call it that, about us and has a photo page of DC Chapter members. The website also has a "Rogue's Gallery" of folks who they really hate... Justice Clarence Thomas, Ann Coulter, Bob Dornan...

It's getting late, and I need to get some sleep, so I'm doing the lazy thing and posting a link to the album with photos of FReepers in attendance at the rally.

I still have a gazillion more photos to upload and link, but will have to do it tomorrow. If anyone wants to post the links to individual FReeper photos from this album, please be my guest. I titled (sort of) the photos in the album.

Saturday was a great day, and it was terrific to see so many old friends and meet new ones, too. I did miss some old friends, but look forward to seeing them at other FReeps upcoming.

Good night, all.

Some of the rally photos are up here, finally!

Please add links to yours on this thread, too, if you've got 'em. If not, I hope these will provide some enjoyment.

G'night, guys and gals.

That first shot is of me & my daughter Stephanie with our flags and an "I stand with President Bush" sign.
It was great to meet and see you all.

You know, maybe it's just this low-carb diet that I'm on, but to me all the puppets and costumes look like...very sinister potatoes...

Yes, I know the two in costume were striving to look like Iraqi mothers carrying their murder-by-US-sanctions babies, but all I see is two black-hijabbed potatoes toting sacks of flour.

The stick puppet? Flying potato. With wings.

And that ain't no camel. It's another potato. Sorry to hear we killed it.

One last ping to all who were watching either the Patriots' Rally or the Traitors' Rally last Saturday. Picture thread here!

This is the last time I'll be using this list, and I apologize if anyone gets double-pinged as a result of my using it now.
