The author doesn't mention the Scouts' victory in the USSC because it's irrelevant to his point. He's not saying that the BSA should be legally forced to change their policy. He's saying that they are morally incorrect.

The BSA has acknowledged that a few dozen Eagle medals have been sent to National in Irving, TX.

I wonder if they (the Pervert Crowd) would defend the Catholic Priests that have been charged and sometimes convicted, of child molestation, in their attempts to stay in the priesthood.
Haven't seen them try that one yet.

Discrimination is not only a good practice, but a necessary practice. We don't eat chicken feet or chicken beaks, we eat breasts or legs or other wholsome portions.
We discriminate among the chicken parts and select the good and discard the bad.
So it is with people, we look, we select and we discard. That is, we carefully discriminate between the good, the bad, and the ugly. It turns out the ex scout in question was not suitable and was discarded.

Many angry Eagle Scouts, both gay and straight, sent their merit badges back to BSA headquarters to protest the Supreme Court decision. yeah, sure they did.
Why, there must have been 850 ba-jillion gay, angry Eagle Scouts returning their badges...
For miles and miles, all one could see was the great sea of angry, gay Eagle Scouts returning those merit badgess...

I don't think the Boy Scouts are on any kind of witch hunt, here. The Scouts in effect are saying if you are a homosexual, you have to 'stay in the closet'. But again, it is such a miniscule number.

Under current Boy Scout rules, a crack-smoking, al-Qaeda-supporting, wife-beating member of the Ku Klux Klan would be fine as a scoutmaster, but Lambert isn't. Remember kids, resorting to silly vitriol always strengthens a weak argument.

Actually, the Stonewall riots in 1969 were in retaliation to the NYPD who were in the habit of flagrantly invading the Stonewall gay bar and carting all the patrons off to the pokey. A clear violation of basic civil rights. Your recollection of gay rights history is accurate. My personal disagreement was not with the behavior of the original Stonewall rioters. It was with the gay revisionists who tried to morally equate the Stonewallers to the American civil rights movement. A number of black leaders chafed at that one.

In other words: "I demand you allow me into this organization that I hate so much!"

I think there is a suit in process where a young girl is trying to get into the boy scouts. What next???? We have girl scouts, sweetie.

I don't believe that all homosexuals are pedophiles but can you really take that chance anymore? We have to do what we can to prevent our kids from being molested. Wish I had known more when mine were growing up. I could have spared one of them four years of molestation by a neighbor's son.

"Under current Boy Scout rules, a crack-smoking, al-Qaeda-supporting, wife-beating member of the Ku Klux Klan would be fine as a scoutmaster..." No he wouldn't, you lying reporter. Get a grip.
I'm sorry, no single guy gay or straight, should really want to go hang out in the woods with little boys. The Scouts have a policy against gay Scoutmasters, not gay Scouts. (I'm not 100% sure on that though). I'm an Eagle Scout. I think the policy (against gays and atheists) is correct and I haven't sent in my merit badges.

Bad on the scouts
Where it belongsNice commentary, chock full facts and pithy argument. But then again your idea of Duty to God and Morally Straight most likely belongs in the category of Moral Relativism. N'est pas?

I feel confident when I say I believe that the overwhelming majority of homosexual men are not child molesters.
I am truly sorry to hear about you and your son.

Concerned about the assault on conservative values. Contribute to Terrell's campaign against Landrieu in Louisiana:
If the conservative agenda is to have a chance of succeeding and if conservative judges are to gain Senate approval, we must preserve a Republican Senate--which is in greater jeopardy than many realize.
For those who understand why the Louisiana election is crucial to retaining the Senate in the face of possible Republican defections by Chafee and McCain, please see the article just posted on:

"Seriously, how many gay Eagle scouts can there be? No kidding. Gays are what, 5% of the population? Only a tiny fraction of Scouts make it to Eagle Scout. Since BSA excludes gays how many gay Eagle Scouts are there?
There are so many logical and material fallacies in this article it's indescribable.

The Scouts have a policy against gay Scoutmasters, not gay Scouts. No, it's both. James Dale was a Scout, not a Scoutmaster.
