His arrest.

Arrest proves guilt--ah, I see. Thanks for clearing that up.

Unauthorized individuals making exceptions to US law (in this case immigration law) is the very essence of modern Liberalism. Precisely because we are government which espouses "equality under the law", we should never be in the position of exempting certain groups perceived as "harmless" or (in the case of Mexican illegals) "relatively harmless" from established immigration provisions.

However, following 09/11/2001, and considering Canada's open door political refugee policy, this is an open wound ripe for infection.

With the Visa Express scheme for your Saudi "friends", and considering that none of the 9/11 hijackers came from Canada but slipped through YOUR immigration policy, it should be us sealing the border.

Officer Cantrell did do the right thing. Felon with a gun is a no no.

You've made a serious mistake. Arrest does not prove guilt. Prior bad acts are the best predictor of future bad acts. Arrest and then trial may prove guilt, but the past is the best predictor of the future. You should avoid profiling with arrest proves guilt.

And as I mentioned before, the B&E for which he'd been convicted was breaking into his high school not long after graduation.

Ie: it was a prank.

Such a prankster. Who's laughing now? And what a sissy boy, does the crime and then complains about feeling upset and anxious. I bet all those muslims who rolled over on all their jihad buddies are just like this. Real tough flying into buildings but they fold like decks of cards when held in Maine's hard core prisons.
