"FOX NEWS ALERT" is what they call their top-of-the-hour and bottom-of-the-hour headline news breaks. They run them every single hour, 24/7/365. "Fox News Alert" does not mean "breaking news." Fox News Alert = Latest News Headlines at :00 and :30.

Between their graphics at the bottom of the screen -that actually take up half the screen - and now this bluting of the less than blurtable that your report, it is getting hard to see the news for the noise on Fox.

I wonder how much Lisa Marie Presley will pocket from Nicolas Cage for that short period of prostitution.

"Noise" is sadly an excellent descriptive term for them now. Good job.

A week or so ago Fox broke into an interview to cover an ongoing freeway car chase in LA. They had no idea who the police were chasing, why they were chasing him, and reported absolutely no details whatsoever about the situation. Less than five minutes later, he wrecked his car and the cops grabbed him jumping the guardrail. It was a good thing - Linda Vester truly seemed embarrassed. And they never did report any additional details or why they cut to it in the first place. It was ridiculous.

Free Republic plummets to irrelevance!

This has gotten completely ridiculous.

Free Republic just posted a vanity to breathlessly announce that Nicolas Cage was getting a divorce.
Beam me up, Commander Riker.

Nicolas Cage was getting a divorce.

Announcing a divorce in Homowood CA is like announcing that Joe Bazooka is about to chew another bubble gum. These guys fill out their divorce paperwork along with their marriage certificate.

A poster on here called the "FOX News Alert" the "Cat in Tree Alert!" which is fitting. What's really annoying is that they break into actual news stories to cover things like Lynn Chenney practicing the Christmas Tree ceremony. How about that, I didn't even mean to connect the two. Its somehow karmic. The news has come full circle.

What's next, commercials for strip clubs, potency enhancement, and 1-900 sports gambling?
That would make it more like the Newsmax site.

Yeah. Without a doubt it dilutes the importance of a FOX NEWS ALERT. Maybe I won't even lift my eyes to look next time.

Yeah, their news alerts and breaking news items have become a joke. It's turning into tabloid TV that just happens to also report the news.

It is the holiday season. A general good natured light banter is the holiday tradition. When you have to keep the camera rolling on just news, 24/7, eventually anything becomes news if it fills up time.

Those california helicopter sequences are the best! The studio crews get to take a piss, maybe a dump too, stretch a little, call home and check on the kids, etc.... Sometimes the world can be only as exciting as Nicholas Cage no longer doing the nasty with the King's love child. That is a good thing, not a bad one.

I am sick of all the news shows bottom screens of news sentences you can never read and then when *you want* to read one of the billions of news sentences a commercial comes on and the thing is gone.
