The American population including my family was happy about the decision. The American population was happy with slavery at one time, too.

TLBSHOW, I have no idea why all of your posts are.. well, basically just a huge populist rant.
Conservatism shouldn't be a personality cult and it shouldn't be poll driven.
Do you know any Muslims? Have you spoken with them? And what about tomorrow? Will Christians have to deal with one of your loud populist rants because someone does something stupid in the name of Christ?
Are you sure you want to ban their religion, or is this kind of thing just a knee jerk response with you?
Honestly, if you focused as much energy into critical thinking as you do into formatting and big fonts....

BUMP TO JOE AND THE TRUTH! And the truth that needs to be told!Farrah is a hero for stating things as they are. If the only thing the Muslims in America do is to complain about how they're picked upon instead opposing the Arab terrorists then they deserve our contempt.
As Islam holds that the non Muslim nations are Dar al Harb (the house of war), such a creed should be watched carefully.

You know, at least the rest of these people speak from conviction and they put forth ideas..
(Ahem) As opposed to biting ankles and then running for cover..)

I don't see where it says anything about protecting a cult of death called Islam that murders Americans and fellow FReepers like Barbara Olson and Mr. Moran and how many others just since Sept 11.
So yes I think we can ban Islam in America and we are idiots if we don't.

Okay.
Then what do we do about their right to practice their religion and their right to free speech?
If you prohibit that then you violate the first amendment.

When have I ran.
I think if I didn't stand up to the lies from Bush and Powell this would of died a few weeks ago! As it is their white lies will not stand. Islam must be banned! And most Christian writers are not going to let Bush and Powell call American Christians hateful and bigots.
The only ones that are hateful and bigots and racist are the muslims!

A cult that kills Americans had better be banned!

Well, we aren't "hateful bigots" and we know that..
What anyone else may think about it is irrelevant.
But to unconstitutionally "ban" them today means Christians could be unconstitutionally "banned" tomorrow.
The first amendment is very clear, and it's protecting us just as much as it's protecting them.
Now, I don't know about you but I will never risk my constitutional right to worship or speak.. regardless of the threat we face.
Thats a short sighted answer and its as dangerous to us as it is to them.

Your quote creates a clear picture why you support the queers. Too bad you do not have children. You may be in for a surprise some day, if one of your children turns up gay.
That is a problem faced by many parents these days.

You would do well to take things like this and consider:
1) Can you live up to this standard yourself? Will you buckle under your own standard?
2) What if the rule you make is enforced by your worst enemy?

The truth? Islamism is the No. 1 threat to Western civilization today. It is the No. 1 threat to Christians around the world. It is the No. 1 threat to Jews. It is the No. 1 threat to American security. This is a fairly lengthy list of claims...four unequivical statements about the state of our world today.
Do either of you gentlemen disagree with all or any particular one of them?
If you do have a problem with all or any of them, please state your disagreement...and then if you would, state what other thing or group or ism might qualify as the No. 1 threat to these institutions and peoples that we love.
Before you answer me, I will state that I personally agree with Farah's statement completely. I believe the list to be self-evidently true.
To: TLBSHOW
It depends on who's "Islam"
If it's Osama, sure.. They suck. Kill them.
If it's Lamonte, my building's maintenance man who wouldn't hurt a fly.. then I will call it tyranny.
What if they said "Christians" are the enemy?
I mean, you couldn't endorce that position wholesale could you?
I bet you would say that only the Self proclaimed Christians who did wrong should be targeted and the rest of us are protected by the Constitution.

I addressed this in my first post.
Violent Muslims are a huge threat.
No argument.

Of course Farah is right. But why is he completely unable to grasp that the administration is merely playing the old game -- politics. Do you (and Farah) honestly believe for one second that Dubya believes all this "religion of peace" crap? It's called diplomacy, and it serves to help us get what we want. Granted, it's painful to listen to, but just relax and be concerned about what the administration does, not what it says.

This is a fairly lengthy list of claims...four unequivical statements about the state of our world today.Daniel Pipes says that "Islamics" make up only 10-15% of Muslims in the world today.
To target 85% of Muslims because of the actions of a few is not justified, IMO.
Farah, like many who are jumping on the bandwagon, verges on hysteria. Bush is playing a very delicate balancing act, and he's doing it very well.

Mark my words, you will never go wrong if you think of any precedent you set as being equally enforcable by your worst enemy.
