In the Gonzales area, the turnout appears to be heading for a 35 to 40 percent total.

I checked a precinct in a very Republican area of Old Metairie at 5:30 p.m. 158 out of 361 had voted. The election clerk said turnout had been as good as it gets, better than Nov. 5. Unless some major funny business occurs in New Orleans, we may be home free. There is still an hour to vote.

"If Orleans Parish doesn't go overboard with turnout then Suzie hopefully will be the winner. Orleans gave Mary almost 95,000 votes in Nov. to some 31,000 or so to the other candidates.... "

Do you recall which precinct or precincts in Orleans Parish that was ?

Yes, the whole parish put her over but I'm trying to remember which preceincts, seems like it was 2, perhaps 3 that really made the difference.
