Good Rumsfeld Poster

I apologize if this has been posted (other than the one time I've used it as a reply) already. Although the site I found it on is a leftist POS place, this poster kicks ass. I think that the leftists assume this poster is a slam on Rummy, when in fact it is patriotic - just shows how twisted their thinking is!

I believe that Rummy is excessively infatuated with high-tech bells and whistles and ignores the KISS principle.

Please provide examples, beginning after the Crusader which he killed, and the Osprey which he has been trying to kill.

Be specific.

Gosh, I'm sorry. I thought this was some sort of big-company-firing-employees-and-replacing-them-with-offshore-workers thread. Got confused. Nevermind.

OK... I'll bite. What, in fact, is the military for?

Man, do you have anything nice to say ever? I think you are the male counterpart to the nagging wife. BTW, those fancy bells and whistles have saved American lives and kept us ahead of the enemy.

The purpose of the military is to defend the United States of America and the Constitution that defines our government.

Building ships will cost Navy jobs

THE DEFENSE SHIPBUILDING INDUSTRIAL BASE --
AN INDUSTRY AT RISK

MAY 2001 -- INTRODUCTION

In 1987, the United States had a naval fleet of 594 ships. Today, the fleet numbers 316 and is dropping. The annual numbers of naval ships procured is at the lowest level since 1932; the size of the Navy's fleet is the smallest since the year before we entered World War I; and while the fleet has been cut almost in half, the number of overseas deployments has increased 300 percent.

Our Commanders-in-Chief are on record that they cannot meet the Nation's military and foreign policy strategy with a fleet of less than 360 ships, yet Navy budgets are providing for a fleet of fewer than 200 ships. This disconnect between national requirements and budgets increases the risk of instability in many regions of the world, jeopardizes the lives of Americans, jeopardizes our economic prosperity, and threatens our peace and national security.

No, he never does. Nor does he have anything intelligent to say ever.

Basicly, it is.
Rummy downsizes our sovereign military and replaces it with an international coalition.

How's that blue United Nation's helmet fit?
Are you comfortable?

Are you kidding ? Rummy is doing his best to streamline the Dept of Defense, bring some accountability to the place and and prepare it for the kind of wars we'll be facing in this century.

Heck, I'm still here.
It's the dang globalists who're hijacking our military for international use.

'Rummy' is doing his best to support a state of perpetual war, ignore the Constitution and advance the idea of an American Empire. He should be ashamed.

Good man.

The sad thing is that most people have no idea of the fraud they are accepting, nor the loss of freedom they will experience.

Here's another example of what Rummy's doing:

Rumsfeld gives endorsement to new aircraft carrier design

``We've had some excellent meetings and we're going to end up with a very good proposal,'' said Rumsfeld, who stopped just short of promising that the first CVNX flattop will be built on schedule beginning in 2007.

Navy leaders are refining a building plan that will put as many new technologies as possible on the first ship in the series, Rumsfeld told reporters.

Navy officials were publicly mum about details of that plan Monday but suggested privately that it will produce a considerably more advanced ship than their original proposal for CVNX-1. Some already were calling it ``CVNX-1.5.''

Steve Cambone, a senior Rumsfeld aide, had complained that as originally proposed the ship would be too much like today's Nimitz-class carriers to justify its $10 billion price tag. Nimitz carriers, like the as-yet-unnamed CVN-77 now under construction in Newport News, cost about $5 billion.

I support construction of new ships and carriers for the Navy.
But at DOUBLE the price tag of one we just built???
Good grief!
There isn't a nation on the planet building anything to rival the current Nimitz-class carriers.
Why would we want to double the price with bells and whistles, and wind up reducing the quantity of ships we actually need to address different hotspots around the world???

Why should we do anything but protect the United States and provide the world with an example of the best way to live as a country?
