Morally you may be right, legally your absolutely wrong.

Exactly! Unfortunately, we have lost all our responsiblity to our God given senses.

How would you feel about your daughter going to college and taking part in this?

There is a huge difference between how i would "feel" and legality.

It seems to me that a commercial activity that takes place on school grounds (which encompasses dorm rooms, no matter who's in the room) would not be allowed regardless of consent and age.

I havent seen any stories about universities banning students from providing commercial services from their rooms, such as typing services, resume preperation, etc...

In other words, No Big Deal. Despite all of the propaganda, obscenity is not a constitutional right.

Adult sex is not illegal, filming same is not illegal, nor is selling it. If you do not like it, tough.... don't buy it. However, you have no authority to inflict your morality upon everyone else.

Are you so blinded by irresponsiblity that you do not grasp my point! I do not question the 'right' to be perverted, stupid, or wholly ignorant of evil...what I am pointing out is that you do have a responsibilty to others, unless you just do not care.

I would disagree. Would you prefer a justice system based upon morality instead of law? Who's morality would you espouse? Your morality is not mine, ours is not Hugh Hefner's nor Larry Flint's. With freedom comes responsibility. Porn is nothing new, granted the quality is better now than it was 50 years ago; but it has existed since the printed page was created. You cannot legislate morality.

This is a good chance for students to actually learn about individual responsiblity and consequences for decisions they made.

And a good chance for the students to learn that some people in society don't give a sh-t about them.

Good point. I think it's mainly what someone said in an earlier comment: this makes it look like a party school rather than a learning institution. More damage control than anything...plus people acting as if college students don't have sex until they're married.

unless you just do not care

Exactly. What you do is your business, what I do is mine. When your business impacts my business, we have the law to settle the differences.

That's a pretty expensive place to learn such a basic concept. Do you suppose Phillip Morris and Anheiser Bush Corporations have the student's best interests at heart while they market cigarettes and beer to them?

You are both right on your points, the people that make these films don't give a rat's ass about the people that they take advantage of, but these people asked for it so what can you say.

It is not your business Alone at all. Tax payer dollars are being used in roundabout ways in this case and it is such a travesty to portray this as a guise of "It's my right!"

Taxpayer dollars are used in a roundabout way in regardes to virtually every thing we do on a daily basis.

It is not "YOUR RIGHT" to be irresponsible toward the rest of society where harm might befall others and children might view selfish smuttiness!

The possibility of The Children viewing something is not a reason to ban it or prevent its production.

This effects aspects of our society that surely has absolutely no value

Somethings "value to society" is not the basis to determine its legality, or ones ability to engage in the activity.

On the topic of reverence, believe me, if I had a shot at bagging a hot 20 year old coed, I treat her with PLENTY of reverence...

I'm sure!

I really am trying to make a point about "Responsibility" here and why we all should gravitate towards a better societal character.

I do not mean to sound morally elite, I am showing concern for the downward spiral we seem to have become involved in...and it will cause this country's demise if we do not honor our sacred creed and true wit.

We can not replace this with selfish desire that the 60's devalues crowd bore into us like some parasitic leech.

Somethings "value to society" is not the basis to determine its legality, or ones ability to engage in the activity.

...And this is why people with this thought will destroy the very essence of what you propose to defend when applied to a determinal effect.

Legality does not equal goodness, caring, unselfishness, or responsibily.
