We didn't go to war with Iraq for those children then, and we aren't doing it now either.

True. We should have, rather, the world should have. In any event, those will be our children if we do nothing now....

Dio- Wow. Again you amaze. From the boarding of the NK ship to the Indian marines to the reminders of Israel's often lonesome war. I simply can't thank you enough...

No, we're going to do it now for our children, as well as the rest of us. If we keep more Kurd kids from being gassed, so much the better.

Proof that you don't have to know how to spell 'intellectual' to pretend to be one.

Mea culpa. 2001 is obviously 1941 for the Arizona.
So much info, so many opportunities for mistakes.

"No invasion without causation", eh? A pity these useful idiots won't have the luxury of changing their minds when they get nuked.

Al Qaeda says it supports Iraq. Iraq says it supports Al Qaeda. That's enough for me. The fact that Saddam is a long time mass murderer is just another bit of evidence he needs to go.

I think they won't care if they get nuked. You see, in high school they are taught there are too many people in the world. When the chinese threatened to nuke LA in 1996 a little high school girl I knew shrugged and said it would help to get rid of some of the excess population. Aghast I asked what if your family lived there? She did not change her response.

Thanks for the pic showing the unexploded missile fired at the Israeli airliner. I was wondering what happened to them where they landed. Any info on the second one?

The missiles once again enroute to Yemen. Hopefully, we were able to secure tracking devices to them.

Oh, they are so clever.

Wed Dec 11,12:37 PM ET Casing is seen under sacks of cement inside the unflagged ship Sosan, 600 miles off the Horn of Africa, Monday, Dec. 9. 2002. Spanish soldiers boarded the Sosan after the crew refused to identify themselves. The North Korean captain of the Sosan initially told Spanish officials the ship was carrying cement, but a subsequent search revealed 15 missiles and other sophisticated weaponry according to Spanish Defense Minister Federico Trillo who briefed the media in Madrid, Spain Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2003.

A note on what we're looking at here.

The "hole" is the rocket nozzle. Those things sticking into it are steering vanes -- by twisting them in the rocket exhaust, you can alter the thrust direction and control the rocket. This is straight out of von Braun's V-2 design.

It works, but it's pretty primative, and compromises performance. These days, it's usually done by gimballing the engine itself. (Think of the video you've seen showing how the Shuttle main engines move at startup....)
