Actually, this represents a 100% repudiation of French socialist ideals, to wit, compulsory secular public education. 10-20 years ago, the French socialists were banning Muslim women from wearing headscarfs because they were religious symbols; now they are funding religious schools. They have followed the lead of the American left: they have abandoned their integrationist dogmas, and replaced them with "multi-culturalist" dogmas. A complete reversal, or surrender, of their earlier ideals. That's what they get for fighting the right over the immigration issue! France might degenerate into an Islamic third world hell hole, but at least the French can be "proud" that they voted against Le Pen!

I did not hear this outrageous US policy. However, I know about importing Saudi clerics (all expenses paid by you and I) to teach American about how wonderful Islam is.

Our focus on Iraq is causing simple minded Americans to think that we are doing a good job against the terrorists. The reality is, all tough decisions regarding INS, Moslem people (legal and illegal) and their institutions are too tough to handle. One side are the bleeding heart liberal, and the second side are the fanatic Islamic governments that we are in bed with, namely, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Pakistan, Yemen, Sudan....These governments insists that we should not show any discrimination against our Moslem citizens. In the mean time, we never insist on them to treat their Christian citizens fairly.
