Last week District Superintendent Robert Berry wrote a letter praising the students at Crete Montee High.
'I am proud to say that while other schools continue to address issues such as alienation, bullying and hate crimes, we have a student body that not only accepts student differences, but also celebrates them.'
Upset some parents and community members have called to complain and written letters to the editor of local newspapers.

We had a problem here just over a year ago with a yearbook at Mt. Vernon High School in Fairfax County. To date the principle, Mrs. Crocker, has refused to answer my complaint.
The yearbook contained a picture showing 4 young African-American women under a large sign which had been partially blocked by their heads.
The sign said:
N I G
My letter to the local NAACP has also gone unanswered.
All we want is an assurance that this sort of racist trickery will not be included in future yearbooks.
We have now guessed just who it is who did this - one of the girls in the picture was on the yearbook staff, and Lord forbid that the principal counsel African-Americans about anti-black slurs and slanders that go into a yearbook that other people pay for! After all, that would be to suggest that modern rap music which is constantly labeling AA women as "ho's" may very well be offensive.

How many of the guys voted for them, just so they could hope to catch a glimpse of some Sappho action at the prom?

These are kids. We may not agree with their sexual orentation but back off, it may change. I could find far worse for my own two girls to turn out as than homosexual.
