It actually suggests that if you're on the wrong side of the sandwich issue, then there is something wrong with you. Not just that you don't have good taste, but that others who disagree have the right to target, taunt and discriminate against you.

Label someone a hater and it's OK to hate a hater. And you don't have to listen to a hater. And you can take away the rights of a hater.

I guess the writer missed the story about Jaguar targeting gays with their new car ads. Prejudiced? Hell yes. They think they can get a few bucks from wealthy gays. Do they also advertise in Ebony Magazine? They would be missing a good bet if they didn't.

Advertising, like retail politics, is aimed at selling to small groups, as well as the groups who are taken for granted by the politicians. Let's not leave any change on the bar, so to speak.
