I know how you feel, because if Lott stays I will want to go. But I'm no quitter.

Will you go if Chester gets a plum committee assignment and stays in the Senate?

It is my understanding that the only way a new vote for ML can come up is with a unanimous vote - guess who says he won't vote for one? Yep, Trent Lett.

I'll say it again, if Lett had fought as hard for conservatives, as he's fighting to preserve his power, he wouldn't have to fight this hard.

That is all that will go on the record, and is consistent with Russerts reporting on NBC that Lott is 'far short' of the number needed.

FOXNEWS says Lott's got a "solid" 19.

Numbers are all over the place.

Was that number on Sean Hannity or Rush's show?

The both could be correct if FOX is counting 'leaners' toward Lott..

I've heard the same thing, this unamious vote may be just on the final consent by voice and not the initial ballots.

Then again, Lott may vote for himself on the voice roll call and draw out the process.

I have a feeling the Republicans will end up letting Lott stay as Majority leader, and also end up slitting their own throats as usual.

Where will you go?

Somewhere where the thought police don't dominate. I can't stand Lott very much, but I'll stand up for his right to speak freely. If the Pubbies (not the Dims) take him out of the picture, I'll walk. Probably south of the border somewhere.

As of late afternoon I had heard that Lott has 19 senators lined up so far, he needs 7 more to cinch a win to retain leadership position.

Maybe Senator Lott could head oversight of the Disinformation Information Intelligence Agency that doesn;t exist, or does it?

I know how you feel. If Lott goes I'll still stay, but I don't know if I'll ever feel the same way about the Republican party.

If he gets another 7 they won't need to have the Caucus.

A majority of Republican senators = thought police? Go ahead south, sounds like you would be happy under a dictatorship.
