FBI Looking for Five Illegal Immigrants
The Associated Press
Sunday, December 29, 2002; 4:23 PM
WASHINGTON The FBI said Sunday it is looking for five men of Arab ancestry who may have entered the country illegally last week.
The agency said the five men are believed to have arrived in the United States on or before Christmas Eve.
The five men are: Abid Noraiz Ali, Iftikhar Khozmai Ali, Mustafa Khan Owasi, Adil Pervez and Akbar Jamal, all born between 1969 and 1983. The FBI warned that the names and birth dates may be false.
The FBI said it had no indication the men were linked to terrorist activities, but still wanted to question the five "based upon information developed in the course of ongoing investigations."
The FBI said it was working with the Customs, Immigration and Naturalization Service and the Transportation Security Agency to find the men.

I was working out at my club and stuck watching CNN while this was breaking, and I groaned out loud when the CNN newsbabe expressed concern that citizens might make a "rush to judgment" looking for these guys. (That sound you heard was me pounding my head on the control panel of an elliptical trainer.)
Have I mentioned that CNN sucks?

How can you have a Bill of Right's and not have a right to life in the first place? That an a policy of sevenfold retribution.
Take out of a building, we take one out in the 7 most populated Muslim nations.
Take out a city, lose seven.
We can see who runs out of weapons first.

Asking logical questions pertaining to the timing of the release of this information isn't trashing people and I am sorry if you misunderstood.
The majority of people don't watch FOX, CNN or read FR. They will no doubt, see these pictures in tomorrows paper.
Carry on, I'm off this thread...sw

No kidding!
I am going to check some web sites and see if there is additional information. I will bring back anything I find out.

We also need to know what kind of passport they have. If it was a Pakistani passport, they would have had to have a visa to enter the U.S. as well as been fingerprinted when they entered.

Men on tapes seem ready to die for al-Qaeda
By Kevin Johnson and Toni Locy, USA TODAY
Death wish: A man identified as Khalid Ibn Muhammad Al-Juhani holds a rifle in what U.S. officials describe as one of five "martyrdom messages."
WASHINGTON Nervous federal law enforcement officials released the videotaped excerpts of five suspected al-Qaeda operatives on Thursday in part to revive a campaign of national preparedness. Government analysis of five videotapes, all recovered recently from the bombed-out Afghanistan home of al-Qaeda military chief Mohammed Atef, indicate that the men "may be trained and prepared to commit future suicide acts," Attorney General John Ashcroft said.

The information that the first names seem Pakistani is borne out by a
google search on all five of the first names. Most of the hits are web sites connected with Pakistanis.

Is this a joke? It's DU, serious to them, a joke to the rest of the world...
To: chnsmok
Darn! I just saw those ones over at the 7-11. Are you sure no one is looking for them?
To: Dog
Google search on Adil Pervez shows nothing on that name per se, but plent of hits for either Adil or Pervez. All were to Pakistani stories. Therefore, Adil Pervez is Pakistani, I conclude.

The only problem with most Sunday Papers is you can buy them on Saturday Morning at your local grocery store or news counter.
Out here, they don't change the pictures and the front page very much. News cut off if you can call it news is about midnight Friday night.

2. Where did they cross? Border checkpont, or unmonitored area? If a border checkpoiint, why weren't they stopped?I got here late, but it seems to me that at least two of them were Canadian citizens. We don't "racially profile". Canadian citizens are allowed to cross the border freely.
And American citizens can go there, too.
