Whats going on at Foxnews?

Whats going on at Foxnews?
I've been watching Foxnews on and off all day as always and am noticing quite an anti-war sentiment coming from many of the guests they have had on.
It seems to me that Fox is subtly pumping anti-war rhetoric over the air waves. It isn't really coming as much from the hosts as much as the guests that they are putting on.
First we had Greg Jarret (unabashed liberal) interviewing a former U.N. Weapons Inspector about the costs of the war. He asked how long it was going to take, and started insinuating we were going to end up fighting North Korea, the terrorists, and Iraq all at the same time. Both agreed that we should just negotiate with everybody, and sing Kumbayah.
Then on John Gibson's show we had Col Hackworth who has lost his mind. Good old Hack was suggesting that we should try and negotiate with Saddam and North Korea. Only problem with that Hack is that you can't negotiate with maniacs. They're going to attempt to kill you no matter what. The question we have to ask ourselves right now is do we put our hand up to block Saddam and Kim's punch before it hits us in the face?
Then John Gibson fills in for O'Reilly and Charlie Wrangel is on suggesting that we bring back the draft. Gibson rightly suggests that Wrangel is only doing this to try and stir up more anti-war rhetoric. Wrangel doens't deny it but dances around and finally admits it.
Then we have Hannity and Colmes. Sean is off tonight and Monica Crowley is filling in for Sean. Alan seems to be getting a lot more time than Monica to shoot his mouth off.
First we get a debate between first guest Mike Reagan and Alan. Alan points out an internal White House memo that was leaked that says "The War on Terror is important in 2004"
Alan claims the Republicans are polictizing the war. Mike asks if the Democrats do any different. Mike brings up Clinton bombing the tents during the Monica Lewinsky hearings. Alan mentions the article about how Rumsfeld gave Saddam WMD in the 1980's.
Then Michele Malkin and Alan and Monica and a New York City Congressman debate the INS and borders, and Alan turns it into a conservation about Iraq and how we shouldn't be distracted. All four end up in agreement that we shouldn't be going to war overseas before the border situation is resolved.
Fox seems to be pumping that anti-war bandwagon.

I so agree with you about Colmes. Just the other day, I just quit watching the show because I could not stand how Colmes had to totally outshout everyone all the time. He never gave the guests time to say anything without interrupting them and trying to shout over them. It ended up with 2 or 3 people talking all the time and you couldn't hear any of the conversations.

To me, this is Colmes only mode of operation. He acts like he can't stand to hear another point of view except his. You want "shrill", Colmes can deliver.

However, tonight he was quite respectful - although it seemed a bit painful for him.

Maybe he was trying to impress Hannity's replacement!

Colmes did have a constipated look on his face. He always turns everything into a shouting match so you can't hear what is said.

Brit is awesome but I think he too was off today. I believe Brian Wilson was in for him.

It was Jim Angle, not Wilson, and he's been subbing all week for Brit....and doing a darn good job. Imo, Special Report is far and away the best show on FOX. Brit is both a master editor and interviewer.

Jim is a great reporter and anchor. Didn't Jim used to work for NPR?

Seems to be more the result of the conservatives taking the day off.

Bingo! Sean Hannity and Brit Hume alone carry the network's conservative lean. And O'Reilly is off as well... I'm sure Alan Colmes enjoyed spewing his tripe louder than ever, considering he had a novice co-host today.

It all went to hell when they let that phoney Gregg Jarrett on.
Lemme give you an example of just how phoney this guy is.
On April 26 1991 we had a severe outbreak of tornados in Kansas. Jarrett was a local TV reporter here in Wichita.
Some may remember the Andover tornado and some may remember a scene where a reporter and a cameraman, ran up under an overpass along with a man and his two daughters. The man and his two daughters were personal friends of mine. A tornado crossed directly over their spot and it was all caught on film.
After that incident, ol' Gregg rushed back to the studios and went live on the air to report his adventure. The place where the tornado incident happened was roughly 25 miles from the studios, yet ol' Gregg had some well placed smudge marks on his face and his hair "mussed". Out of breath, he rolled film and gave his blow by blow. It was about 3pm.
As if that wasn't phoney enough, at 6 pm when the nightly news came on, there was ol' Gregg, still live, and still disheveled complete with smudge marks and mussed hair and out of breath, as he rolled film and gave us the same blow by blow.

Call me old fashoined, but that seems a bit PHONEY to me.

Hannity and Colmes is damn near unwatchable. Sean, although I agree with him quite a bit, usually just throws out cliches and talking points, and doesn't think on his feet too quickly. Colmes is both incompetent and contemptible. At that time (6:00pm PST) I usually watch Moneyline with Lou Dobbs. Lou is the only conservative on the Commie News Network, and he's very intelligent and composed. The guy must have major balls (and leverage) to be the lone conservative on that station.

I notice Alan Colmes always uses the logic

"Why are we not going after North korea Like we are Iraq, Isn't North Korea more of a threat?"

I would ask Alan Colmes this question. Ok Alan, Then you would support an all-out ground war against North Korea first? or are you just trying to use the North Korean issue to distract from the reasons why we must stop Saddam Hussain?

I remember hearing Alan Colmes, and the other pacifist, belly aching about going into Afghanistan by using the failure of the former Soviet Union in Afghanistan, They said it would be a "Quagmire", The Taliban are seasoned fighters who know the terrain and our troops will be bogged down, And of coarse their usual excuse not to confront Terrorist "We need to use Diplomacy and negotiate with the Taliban"

I have never liked ole Hack. During Vietnam he pointed out some problems but blamed the military and not the political leaders who screwed the thing up. He has always let his Vietnam experiance cloud his views. He is just plain wrong about what is going on in the world right now.

Jarret is an unashamed LIBERAL. Seems to me that the phonies and the liberals always fit together.

Hackworth is an idiot. I laugh whenever I see a thread on FR which pays any attention to him.

"But Montag, he is the 'most decorated soldier in U.S. History'"!

Yeah right, what has he done which even comes close to Audie Murphy? And besides, Ehud Barak is the most decorated soldier in Israeli history, and look what an appeasing traitor he became.

First we had Greg Jarret (unabashed liberal)

Why did they waste money on this clown? The ratings were microscopic for his Arafat love-fest on PMSNBC. I don't get it.

I'll admit Sean is much better on his radio show rather than on Hannity and Colmes. But I still like Sean either way.

Very true about Hack. He lets his (bad) experiences in the Vietnam war cloud every one of his arguments. In his head, he's still living in the late 60's.
