WASHINGTON (Creators Syndicate ) -- On the first day of the 108th Congress Tuesday, President Bush and his Democratic adversaries signaled a contentious year ahead.

In Chicago, the president unveiled an economic package making clear he is not about to negotiate with himself to avoid criticism. In Washington, Democratic senators kicked off the session by indicating they would give no quarter.

Hillary Clinton rearing her ugly head more often lately. Saw here on C-Span yesterday outraged and red-faced about something.

Hope Frist can handle the rules game. Lott wasn't so bad at it actually.

" When Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton sought recognition on the floor, it was assumed she was going to speak in behalf of an 18-week extension of unemployment benefits (co-sponsored with Republican Sen. Peter Fitzgerald of Illinois). Instead, she pushed for an extension of jobless benefits to one million more people. "

She sandbagged Frist. When are the Republican men going to learn that she cannot be trusted-no how,no way??!!

Democrats vowed to attach the additional one million recipients of unemployment pay to all manner of legislation, trying to wear down Frist and the new Republican majority ***

This was the work of Hillary playing an old play from the Clintons' by now very time-worn, dirty from over-use and frayed-page Play Book. There is nothing new going on in D.C. 'Same old, same old' stuff. All in all, the Dims prove they are really dim-witted arseholes. Kinda like the Russkies, they wanna deal but don't wanna make any deals -- all they do is waste time talking while the house is burning. *DemonRATS* are never gonna change.

Me Thinks it is time to pull another 1,000 FBI files (we learned from BlowJobBill that is the thing to do when you want to apply pressure) and interview every Secret Service Agent who had anything to do with Bubbette and Bubba. Maybe some of them even got video of Bubbette groveling carpet in the Oval Office?

They may have tried .. but they failed .. Frist and others called them on it by saying the Dems were playing polictical games at the expense of the american people

After that .. the bill was passed

If the Dems want to keep playing games .. FINE!! .. call them to the mat and take a vote and let's see JUST WHO will vote against any furture Bills or Judges

Let's get it on the records for ALL TO SEE

I sure hope Frist and Bush learned their lesson.

And did you see the article with Chris Matthews telling Imus that Hillary was calling all the shots on the floor?

Guess who's on Cspan right now, screeding about the economic plan? Why, that'd be Queen Hillary herself.

. The determination not to permit Frist one day in the sun was born of widespread Democratic feelings that mid-term losses stemmed not from being too liberal but insufficiently aggressive.

A less polite way of putting this is:

The Democrats are SORE LOSING Cry-babies!
