Thanks for the Ping Luis..
Again we seem to be back to Bush's proposed budget items and the implication that he re-newed a toothless bill as a result.
If I am not mistaken the appropriations committee shot him down on this...

No you imbecile, Reagan was President. I don't see you blasting away at Cheney in your rants, so why would you try to complicate vice-president Bush?
Could it be because you are incredibly dishonest?
Yep! That's it!

I know how badly you all want to shake up Bush's support
that's bs luis... and you know it. NOBODY worked harder to get him elected and get him the majority than yours truly. he did a bad thing. it's not the first and becoming increasingly indicative of a socialist bent that is INTOLERABLE to small government conservatives. respectfully. your friend robert.
To: Luis Gonzalez
it's important, buddie, that you don't shoot the choir, for the director dropping his baton.
admit it, would it have hurt the conservative philosophy for bush to have said "no thanks" and pass on this lunacy?
will it further the goal of smaller, less intrusive and less expansive and expensive bureaucracy???
bush blew it on this one. I pray he does not blow it on others.
It was WRONG for him to sign this bill. Period. support it if YOU want it. I don't. And I don't appreciate being slammed as an anti conservative for wanting "greenie" based laws thrown out poste haste.
Being the conservative you are, why would you want these folks to have their agenda passed into law? Do you benefit from radical earth firster types of environmenalism? Does business? Do families who have to pay for these regulations and rules out of their hard earned paychecks?
Call it a draw. I won't argue with you further about it. I will just state that Bush is wrong, and we are in deep sh!t if he keeps it up. THIS is what we get from a republican majority I elected? I am shocked.

Together these funds have restored streams and rivers, re-established native plants and trees, acquired land that is home to more than a third of America's threatened and endangered species. Because about 75 percent of the wetlands are held privately, we need to encourage cooperation with our landowners. This legislation shows that when government and landowners and conservationists and others work together, we can make dramatic progress in preserving the beauty and the quality of our environment. Why don't they leave it alone?

All these things were done in small increments over many years. Undoing them, if possible, will have to be done the same way and the time required will extend beyond Bush's administration
Your approach could justify the continuation of slavery pre Civll War, justify hyperinflation in third world countries, and justify brainwashing of North Korean citizens to believe their ruler is Divine.
Wrong is wrong. Today.
Bush is not taking a leadership role in fighting the environmentalists tooth and nail. Therefore his environmental policy can only be evaluated as a failure.

Please provide the link where George W. Bush has sent or is sending Michael Powell to "meet" with Jesse Jackson.

Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson, Founder and President of BOND, the Brotherhood Organization of A New Destiny, today said he is disturbed by news reports that two prominent Bush administration officials are planning to speak at Jesse Jacksons 6th Annual Rainbow/PUSH Wall Street Project. The officials scheduled to speak are Michael Powell, Chairman of the Federal Communication Commission (FCC), and son of Secretary of State Colin Powell; and Roel Campos, Commissioner of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). According to news reports both are scheduled to appear at the event on January 16th.
Rev. Peterson said, In the last thirty years, Jackson has proven himself to be a man of poor character and a self-serving thug. Recent examples: In January of 2001, it was discovered that Jackson fathered a love child with his mistress Karin Stanford; he has also been under serious scrutiny for allegedly misusing funds from his nonprofit organizations. Much more has been documented in the scathing bookShakedown: Exposing The Real Jesse Jackson by Kenneth R. Timmerman.
Rev. Peterson added, This administrations plan to send officials to meet with a discredited civil-rights leader is shameful. In the past, Jackson has called President Bush an illegitimate President, and has compared the Bush administration to terrorists. The administration is validating Jackson, and theyre sending the wrong message to the American people. How can they [Bush administration] embrace Jackson and yet repudiate Trent Lott? It doesnt make sense and its wrong!
BOND is sponsoring the 4th Annual National Day of Repudiation of Jesse Jackson on Dr. Martin Luther King Jrs Birthday on Monday, January 20, 2003, from 10 am till 12 Noon, in front of Rainbow/PUSH L.A., 1968 West Adams Blvd., Los Angeles, CA. For more information go to www.bondinfo.org
I will side with Jesse over you and your kind anyday. Howlin is a racist.

Luis, you have no class. In fact, you are a pig of a man to post something like that about Ms. Malkin. Just because you're Hispanic, doesn't mean you can't be a bigot.
