As I said, the determination of whether the term "B.C.E." is PC or not depends upon who is using it and who the target audience is. I will repeat that a Jewish writer, writing an article for a newspaper in Israel for an almost exclusively Jewish audience, who uses that term is not being PC - simply because almost all involved don't accept "B.C." However, someone, Jewish or not, writing for a paper whose audience is predominantly non-Jewish, or someone teaching in a school whose students are predominantly non-Jewish, IS being PC (or is being told to be by someone above them) by using the term "B.C.E." The key is the intent - if the intent is not to "offend" the easily offended, if it is to make a point that "Christian civilization" shouldn't be honored in any way - THAT is PC, and it is as disgusting as the rest of the PC crap that is regularly spewed by our schools and media.

I will grant you that some people have been, are and will be offended by the terms "B.C.E." and "C.E." I wonder (sincerely, not to get your goat) whether THEY are not adopting some of the behaviorial characteristics of the PC crowd (i.e. the victimhood thing).

This one issue aside, it is clear to me that PC is practised almost exclusively by, and for the political benefit of, liberals. It is a key part of the effort to destroy our language and rewrite our history, in order to re-educate the American public toward some Socialist point of view. I fight it where I can, and oftentimes go out of my way to be as un-PC as possible, just to annoy the pricks. But I also try to target ONLY that which is, IMHO, actually PC. Being careful about what is and what isn't PC, so as to attack the true enemy, is vitally important in this fight.
