I'm afraid it will take something akin to that. Probably tens or hundreds of thosuands dead ... and then the pols may try to just clamp down more on the citizens.

At that point however, I believe the citizens will not tolerate it any more.

LA won't go up in a mushroom cloud neither will any other city for that matter. We have a Department of Homeland Security, a Patriot Act, and all we have to do is give up more of our rights and we will be a very secure nation. There will be no need to do anything about the borders because the gubmint will protect us.(100% PURE SARCASM)
