True, but it seems that idioys provide the most amusing examples of how to exit life...

The dog bites probably came after the beating, too bad the guy is dead, but He must have been a brutal monster. Their were other ways to handle the dog. The guy sounds like a mental midget! If the dog was having a fit or something, why not just shoot it since He had a gun, that would have been more merciful than a beating. >^..^<

you are suppose to shoot the dog not beat it with the gun. sounds like gun abuse to me

As a boy growing up in Western Kentucky some said that we lived so far back in the sticks that we didn't get the Grand Ole Opry until Monday morning. Surely the Associated Press gets to South Carolina more quickly than that.
This story was posted about three days ago. $;^)

Well, sometimes the title of the article is different in different publications, and it requires a little bit of sleuthing to ascertain whether it is here or not already. I myself have been snookered thusly once or twice.

Perhaps so.
But I did a search before I posted mine and used the word "dog", as was present in all posts.
No such posts were found.
Pretty simple, really.

As I read between the lines, the man probably received bites in self-defense to begin with.

Is the search function broken?? I think so. I searched for dog twice...didn't get a single hit. I was suspicious because I read the article last night, and was amazed no one else had posted the article by noon today....

"As I read between the lines, the man probably received bites in self-defense to begin with." What!? Self-defense against an attacking dog is now against the law too?

Yes, I noticed that, too. I wonder is a three-letter word is just too small to search on. No matter, we all try the best we can, I'm sure.
