Scott Peterson admitted he had an affair last year before his pregnant wife vanished, and claimed he told her about it.
He also has previously denied killing his wife.
'The affair was not a positive, obviously..but it was not something we weren't dealing with,' Peterson told ABC News Good Morning America in an interview broadcast Tuesday.
'It wasn't anything that could break up apart.'
Laci Peterson 27, disappeared on Christmas Eve from her home in Modesto, CA.
Scott Peterson 30, told police he was fishing at the Berkley marina at the time, and that his wife had planned to take her dog for a walk that morning.
Asked on ABC if he had murdered her, he said 'I had nothing to do with her disappearance.'
Noting that there is no proof she had been killed, he said that the murder theory 'is not one that we are willing to accept.'

I haven't been following this story very closely, but what if this is true? Could she have been so upset about the affair that she is in hiding?

Wonder if she also knew about the two hundred thousand dollar life insurance he took out on her? Was she the primary bread winner of the family?

I think Scott was the bread winner, the cops already cleared out his office and took his computer and some patio furniture.

Good tag line-it is truly amazing how many have passed a driving test, seemingly without knowing that, isn't it?

No way do I think she would put the rest of her family through this type of emotional torture.

Two scenarios, IMO.
He planned this beforehand. No-one has seen or spoken to her since the night of the 23rd. Her Mom @ 8:30pm.
She found out, they had an argument and one thing leading to another, he killed her (unpremeditated).
To: ewing
"The affair was not a positive, obviously..but it was not something we weren't dealing with," Peterson told ABC News Good Morning America. Is it too early for him to be using past tense? Why wouldn't he say "aren't"?

Whatever the truth of what happened to her, one thing is for danged sure: With her baby due in mid-February, and with her pictures plastered all over the TV, it would be mighty hard for Laci to take off on her own. So the odds of her being in hiding are pretty slim, unless she's doing so with assistance. If she did want to leave Scott, given that her pregnancy was in its final trimester, it would have made more sense for her to either go to her parents or siblings, or wait until after the baby was born.
No, unfortunately, the most likely answer is that she is dead. Whether or not her husband killed her is an open question, but the suspicion surrounding him is valid.

To: swarthyguy
Perhaps Scott had a copy of the pic of him and his girlfriend, Laci found it and confronted him about it the night of the 23rd.
Didn't S & L move back to Modesto recently, leaving behind a successful business? Perhaps the real reason for leaving was because he had another woman there also? Maybe Laci had intended to come back home by herself, but found out she was pregnant, and he tagged along.....
The guy must have 'bad luck' for Laci to find out about an affair that was barely one month old.

If she's dead - I hope they find her body to wipe that smile off his face.
Unless he 'neutralized' her with his fertilizer chemicals.

He did say "No." I just saw it on Fox. He answered, "No...No...I,I had, you know, nothing to do with her disappearance." Some selective editing going on here.
I think he's the most likely suspect, but they haven't got the evidence on him yet. We are all just speculating here.

Maybe, but how does ABC know that she was murdered? Right now she is listed as missing.
Now if that question was posed at me, I would have probobly called them on it - said something like " Who are you to say she was murderd? I love my wife and want her to come home, blah...blah..."
But I'm not Scott....

Oh yeah, she knew about the affair alright; the night that he killed her.
Look, if you think about what he said....this can't possibly be true that she knew about this beforehand, since his girlfriend Amber was allegedly upset that he couldn't spend Christmas with her. (according to her father.)

Wonder if she also knew about the two hundred thousand dollar life insurance he took out on her? Was she the primary bread winner of the family? The LI policy is really a no brainer. She most likely had to know about it because she had to sign the application for it and the contract when it was accepted, PLUS she probably had to take a medical exam for it to be approved.
It is not unusual to take out LI on your pregnant wife, however it still raises questions.
When was the LI applied for?

Maybe Laci had intended to come back home by herself, but found out she was pregnant, and he tagged along.....Did I see or hear somewhere that they had money problems?
What about the break in, that is highly suspect!
