As a 51 y/o ex-seminarian I remember the Latin Mass. My parish church was right next to Dallas Love Field which was the main Dallas airport before D/FW. Sunday mass had a lot of international travelers. Missals always had Latin and the venacular. You could travel anywhere in the world and fully participate in the Mass because it was in Latin.
Now we have mass in English, Spanish, Vietnamese, Tagalog. The English mass still looks like a U.N. conference but the others only have a particular group. I still prefer the Latin Mass. As far as the sermon goes, I usually fall asleep no matter what language is spoken.

I aggree. I just like to be able to understand the Aramaic language as it is being spoken. After all the script I am sure is not going to be word for word from the Bible.

At least most films end up that way...

:)

You have a point - but you know somehow I have this feeling that their will be little or no deviation from the original...

Just a female thing,you understand?
