Zarqawi was in Baghdad back in August, whereas Foley was killed in October. By October, Zarqawi was already back in Iran. So somebody in al-Qaeda was calling out hits from Baghdad, something they simply could not do in that type of a police state unless they had the tacit support of the Iraqi government.

I wouldn't be too terribly surprised if we found Osama in the middle of Baghdad.

I would, but primarily because it seems to me that most of al-Qaeda's brass is currently being harbored in Iran or northern Pakistan. I think however that Iraq is the weakest link in al-Qaeda's state sponsors, however, and the one most likely to hand out WMDs to them.

One of the palaces to be a little more specific.

When you talk about this, do not further confuse the devil out of the rest of the world and make us sound like a bunch of cowboys

Excuse me? "Cowboys" are now a very, very blessed good thing. Thank God for "Cowboys."
Being a Cowboy is better than being an anti-American rapist, wouldn't you say, Mr. Biden ???

"Dodd said he backs the president's position on Iraq, as did the committee's ranking member Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., who offered the administration one of the strongest expressions of support but nonetheless chastised the administration for calling potential military action "pre-emptive."

They just keep wanting to have it both ways. They strongly support Bush's stand, but want to chastise Bush. They say there is no proof that Saddam has WMDs, but they strongly support Bush's position, but they want to chastise him. My head is spinning. Do they think the American public doesn't have them pegged?

This IS huge -- the proof that we have been waiting for and expecting to come out right before we slam these slime balls. News that al Qaeda is operating from Baghdad is amazing confirmation that the Cowboy is riding high.

Clearly, Biden said, Saddam is violating the original Gulf War cease-fire agreement.

"When you talk about this, do not further confuse the devil out of the rest of the world and make us sound like a bunch of cowboys that we are going to be out there pre-emptively imposing our view. This is an enforcement of a binding international legal commitment that a man made to save his skin and stay in power," Biden said.

Geez, what is this world coming to? I actually agree with Biden here. Our government should not be using the term "pre-emptive" regarding Iraq. Any action will be in response to Iraq's constant violations of resolutions/agreements.
