...Yesterday CNN confirmed that last Tuesday night, after anchoring the State of the Union address, [Aaron] Brown spent around $13,000 of his own money to charter a private jet from Washington so he could make his Wednesday morning tee time. Initially Brown had planned to fly commercial, a CNN spokeswoman told us, but those plans fell apart when President Bush's speech was scheduled. An expensive charter flight was Brown's only option if he was to keep his commitment in California....

I really don't see the big deal here. The guy was on vacation from work and made a committement to an event. I find the attacking of Aaron Brown for this to be a waste of time and of little importance.

I suggest y'all click on the above link "Full Article" and read the whole story. The man has his priorities messed up bad.
Then scroll down and read the next story about PETA writing a deferential letter to Yassir Arafat about the PLO strapping explosives to a donkey and blowing it up....PETA is outraged....deferentially. It's a hoot.

I agree. I don't see what the big deal about this is. Actually, I do. It's an attempt to creat a story out of nothing and at the same time bash the 'rich'.
To say that CNN coverage couldn't occur if Aaron Brown didn't cut short his vacation to cover this event is ludicrous.
These whiners need to get a life. Obviously Aaron Brown has one and they are jealous.

At least he did not drive a SUV and waste all that fuel.

"It's his money and as such none of our business." He's a public figure who showed less dedication to his network than Dan Rather, Peter Jennings and Tom Brokaw did to theirs. And the fees I pay for cable TV go partly to CNN and therefore to this man's salary.

Don't watch CNN then. My cable company charges a package fee for expanded cable service which includes CNN, whether I want it or not. Part of my cable fee goes to CNN, therefore I feel free to comment on CNN programming and CNN anchors.

Feel free to comment all you want but it's none of your business what the man does with his spare time and his money. Do you call up the manager of your utility company and demand he account for all his time? Sheesh, get a grip, get a life!
