Saluting Kilmeade in Kuwait!

Posted on 02/12/2003 3:55:43 AM PST by ConservativeMan55

Right now on Foxnews Brian Kilmeade is in Kuwait. Brian is one of the best commentators they've got on Foxnews, so when I heard he was going to Kuwait I was a little bit concerned for his safety.

But when I turned on the TV this morning I was quickly reassured. I thought maybe he would do like most of the foreign correspondants, and sit on top of a roof somewhere. But nope, not our patriotic Brian! He's sitting on top of a tank surrounded by about 25-30 US Soldiers! The tanks got a "Don't Tread on me sign on it" and An American Flag, and their ending every segment screaming "Hoo-Yaa!!!"

Wasn't that sweet? I liked how the soldier asked his wife if the car was running ok! A good guy question, and a sign of how good a husband and father he is. Very touching.

"Actually, they guy pumping the iron was a Corporal."

Life lesson, Wait till the beast is done doing his reps to ask him questions about Saddam.

And he asked the girls if they were doing their homework & how is the french horn going>? What a man! You don't often think of the pressure on these men worrying not only for the danger they're in and the work they have to do, but they have wives and kids going it alone at home. A great sacrifice indeed!

On this segment they had a demonstration of an F-16 providing air cover. Pretty cool! Kilmeade was given a highly coveted squadron coin and he told the troops he hoped their next station would be "liquor friendly." HA!

Good stuff indeed. I only got to enjoy the very first segment this morning, but it was touching. I hope everyone takes a few moments to remember the sacrificies of our military personnel and families, especially at this time.

God bless America!

I thought Brian's comment about the mock F-16 attack being what Saddam will see soon was priceless.

You would never see that on CNN!

Fox is being inundated with e-mails. Someone suggested Fox buy that soldier a car! LOL! People are dying to see this, rather than the talking heads. Fox is wonderful to do this, and I love it that they are pro-American, rather than "neutral."

I got up a little too late to see all of Brian's broadcast--but the part I did see just made me lose it!! My son Jon is now in Israel with a Patriot Missile battery--seeing all those guys in their desert fatigues made me want to hug them all 'cuz they looked like him! I have been "hugging" them in my prayers, tho.

And I, too, love Brian--and the whole Fox & Friends crew--as well as Brit Hume and Tony Snow. My son's wife is having a baby this week--I know he really wanted to be with her (he's stationed in Germany)--but he also is a good soldier and proud to be doing his job.

I am just very grateful to Fox News for giving us an up close and personal--and very positive--view of our fighting men! God bless them and our Commander in Chief!

Prayers for your son, milagro, and please thank him for his service to our country!

I think Brian will be on tomorrow as well, so if you can get up early enough you can see all the segments. He is doing a really good job, and is trying as hard as he can to get as many guys on camera as possible.

I hope he gets an Emmy we in the John F Kennedy wardroom have the TV Locked and Cocked on FNC. It is nice to see true patriots in the news media but Fox seems to be the only place to see news people that truly love their country.

"Anyone heard anything on how Linda Vester's pregnancy is coming along?"

Different channel, but Jennifer Lopez (the meteorologist) is back on The Weather Channel from her maternity leave and she looks as lovely as ever.
