PETA ASKS YASSER ARAFAT TO EXTEND THE OLIVE BRANCH TO ANIMALS
For Immediate Release: February 4, 2003 Contact: Andrew Butler 757-622-7382 Following the recent bombing in Jerusalem in which a live donkey, laden with explosives, was blown up, shocking people of all nationalities around the world, Ingrid Newkirk, president of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), has written to Palestinian National Authority President Yasser Arafat asking that he urge those who listen to him to keep animals out of the conflict. Writes Newkirk, "All nations behave abominably in many ways when they are fighting their enemies, and animals are always caught in the crossfire. Animals have no Geneva Convention, no peace treatyjust our mercy." A copy of PETAs letter to Yasser Arafat follows. February 3, 2003 Yasser Arafat, President Palestinian National Authority Ramallah, West Bank Palestinian Authority 1 page via facsimile: XXXX Your Excellency: I am writing from an organization dedicated to fighting animal abuse around the world. We have received many calls and letters from people shocked at the bombing in Jerusalem on January 26 in which a live donkey, laden with explosives, was intentionally blown up. All nations behave abominably in many ways when they are fighting their enemies, and animals are always caught in the crossfire. The U.S. Army abandoned thousands of loyal service dogs in Vietnam. Al-Qaeda and the British government have both used animals in hideously cruel biological weaponry tests. We watched on television as stray cats in your own compound fled as best they could from the Israeli bulldozers. Animals claim no nation. They are in perpetual involuntary servitude to all humankind, and although they pose no threat and own no weapons, human beings always win in the undeclared war against them. For animals, there is no Geneva Convention and no peace treatyjust our mercy. If you have the opportunity, will you please add to your burdens my request that you appeal to all those who listen to you to leave the animals out of this conflict? We send you sincere wishes of peace.
Very truly yours, Ingrid Newkirk President, PETA
That said, I will give them credit for having a sense of humor.
The Sergeant replied "Well sir it's a long way from anywhere, and the men have natural sexual urges, so when they do, uh, we have the camel."
The captain said "Well if it's good for moral, then I guess it's all right with me."
After he had been at the fort for about 6 months the captain could not stand it any more so he told his Sergeant, "BRING IN THE CAMEL!!!"
The sarge shrugged his shoulders and led the camel into the captains quarters.
The captain got a foot stool & proceeded do the deed. As he stepped, satisfied, down from the stool he asked the Sergeant, "Is that how the enlisted men do it?"
The Sergeant replied, "Well sir, they usually just use it to ride into town where the women are."
Kinda like asking PETA to extend an olive branch to wacko animal-rights kooks. In case PETA hasn't noticed, Arafart has ALREADY extended an olive branch to animals such as: Ham-ass, Islimeic Jihad, Hizbullsh*tah, etc.
"Dear Mr.Arafat, please make sure you use only humans to blow up other humans,we don't care if you keep up your terrorism, just don't blow anymore asses to smitherins. Thanks"
Because, sickening as it is, that's the way PETA thinks. Jewish children? Nah they're just a leach on the world's resources. Donkeys on the other hand are gods, worthy of protection, honor. Sick.

NEW DELHI, OCTOBER 24: As militant attacks in Jammu and Kashmir occur with increasing frequency, the Army has identified a new potential source of danger: animals. Army headquarters, acting on wireless intercepts made by intelligence agencies, have instructed formations in the state to watch out for fidayeen attacks using mules, donkeys and cattle.
Sources say the militants would just have to strap explosives on mules, donkeys and cattle and force them to run towards security establishments, much the same way as they used cars at Badami Bagh cantonment in Srinagar and at the state assembly.
The threat of an animal attack had been worrying us. Since most soldiers are Hindus they would find it difficult to open fire on cows and mules are common, used by the army to transport supplies. So we are now constructing cattle traps on the road ahead of the gates and walls of sensitive installations, a senior army official with the Udhampur-based Northern Command said.

The fact that she mourns the loss of one donkey but makes no mention of the 700+ Israelis killed in the suicide attacks betrays her ass-inine ideology (pun intended).
I read through the article and this entire thread and finally found one post that said what I was thinking.
