The only common thread in who liberals support and who they denigrate is that a liberal will always support the weaker side. It doesn't matter if the weaker side is full of murderer's, child-molestors, or terrorists, so long as they have a cause to trumpet.

Exactly.

God has an explanation of why the world hates the Jews and that is because it is through the Jewish people that God gave us Jesus Christ.

When Jesus Christ died on the Cross, Satan was defeated for all eternity. Since then, Satan has worked ruthlessly to obliterate the Jewish people, and while millions of Jews have been slaughtered by those acting as servants of Satan (Hitler, etc.), there will always be a remnant of Jews that God will protect, and the Jewish people as a whole will one day return to God.

God tells us that this hatred of the Jewish people will continue until "the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled". The fact that the worldwide Left hates Jews and hates Israel is merely a confirmation of what God has told us about this situation. After all, we are all aware of the fact that the 2000 presidential election was divided almost equally between those who attend church voting for Bush, and those who do not attend church voting for Gore.

And we are all also aware of how the Left, in this country at least, has formed organizations of themselves dedicated to removing as much of God from American public life as they possibly can (ACLU, People For the American Way, to name but a couple) and in so doing have declared loud and clear the side they are on and the position they have staked vis a vis matters concerning God.

The Left hates the Jewish people for this reason, and will contine to hate the Jewish people. But as God told Abraham: "I will bless them that bless you and curse them that curse you". It is a stupid and dangerous decision to make, to declare war on God, but that is what the Left has done in many ways, including their decision to hate the Jews, and they, like all others in the history of the world who have made the same choice, will lose badly.

Simpleton. Israel happens to be at war. This is what you do when you have a population of Jihadists trying to kill you.

Your problem is you're hanging out with Buddhists and some where born as Jews. Buddhists are OK in my book because they don't make Jihads and wars. They have a way of countering evil in this world that is passive and spiritual. And infective in many situations. They have some nice ideals but ideals that will get you killed on the West Bank.

And they support the weaker side in order to be seen as rescuers, givers, and providers. Thus they create a bond of dependence to those they "help." Israel has always been fiercely independent and resourceful and the parenting-government liberals just can't have that kind of unruly behavior now, can they.

The closer we would get to discussing Judaism AND the situation in Israel TODAY, the more he would 'run' with his new-found lovefest with Buddhism (yet, he had not the calm that one would expect if he actually WAS Buddhist). We actually broke up over it!

Yes, but let me make it very clear that the comments i made are in *no* way intended to disparage Buddhism --real Buddhists, that is. These folks are not 'youngish' (all are older than I am, as a matter of fact). But, you know, it is quite true that 'some people just never grow up'. Sincerely, I think their romanticizing of another religion (no matter what other one they would have chosen) has occurred because on some level they fear their identification with the religion into which they were born (much like many Christians do now) will make them 'unpopular'--or even that their own religion makes their own behaviors untenable; and, well, Buddism is so 'chic' these days in our country, ya' know ;-) But, you raise another point in my own mind... an individual who is not firm enough to stand up for who he IS, is fundamentally lacking in character. (The same can be said for many Christians, by the way.) That is (as you said) why it 'will get you killed in the West Bank' ... they've already 'killed' themselves on a spiritual level, so all that's left to go is the body. Well, that's my perception anyway. What do I know ;-)

I have come to my own conclusions. Why do you parrot the right? And you have not explained still why Israel denies non-Europeans and non-Jews fundamental civil and property rights. Stick to that please. All people should enjoy fundamental civil and property rights, and I don't care what their religion is. Don't give excuses.
