Saddam meets former US Attorney General Ramsey Clark calling for peace
Agence France-Presse | February 23, 2003

Posted on 02/23/2003 4:04:38 PM PST by HAL9000

BAGHDAD, Feb 23 (AFP) - President Saddam Hussein received Sunday former US attorney general Ramsey Clark who said he was trying to incite world public opinion against a US-led war.

Clark said his International Action Center was meant to "create a world public opinion against the war that the US administration is threatening to launch on the Iraqi people," the state news agency INA reported.

"Our center believes in the establishment of peace in the world, despite that the drums of war are beating in the United States and Britain," he said.

Saddam hailed Clark's center "for its efforts to strengthen the principles of peace and humanity in the world."

Clark's center fights against US militarism, war and corporate greed and struggles against racism and oppression within the United States, according to the group's website.

Clark met on Saturday with Deputy Prime Minister Tariq Aziz in Baghdad.

The United States has been deploying a massive military buildup in the Gulf, threatening to lead an imminent war against Saddam Hussein whom it accuses of developing weapons of mass destruction.

Thus adding another 8 x 10 glossy to his Wall of Shame lined with similar portraits shaking hands with the infamous over the past 40 years.

Three people should just GO AWAY - Slick Willy, Peanut Carter and Ramsey Clark.

None of the above want this country to remain free.

Every time an article about Clark's treasonous acts come up, I am reminded of Michelle Maulkin's essay about his bloody hands. He should be tried.

Ramsey Clark's bloody resume

This man is truly sick. Talk about lessoning the pressure we are trying to build in order to get Saddam to give it up without so much as a squeak.

These media hungry goofballs are so hurting our attempt to disarm that monster without a war....Saddam is eating this up. I will never listen to Clark again.

I'm still in shock too. I've always know he was a leftist freak, but this is WAY off the charts.

"Saddam hailed Clark's center "for its efforts to strengthen the principles of peace and humanity in the world."

Like Saddam knows anything about 'peace and humanity.' This is the same guy who kills his relatives and citizenry and marches on his neighbors FOR OIL and to expand his borders. I guess THIS is what Clark supports?

This is just a reprise of his Gulf War I schtick. He did the same thing then.

Only with a lot fewer adoring followers worldwide. I'm so mad I could just spit.

Great research on the part of AFP, isn't it? Not a word about his being a lawyer for Saddam AND the PLO. Not a word about the WWP. You'd think the guy really did run a Peace center.

Well, yes. In a nutshell, it is what he would like to be if he had the nerve. I wonder if Clark gets all a tingle just thinking about it?

I'm beginning to think that "peace" means the same thing in commie-speak that it means in Islam. That is, "peace" means when everyone is under our rule and no longer resisting in any way, we have "peace."

And "justice" means equality of outcome.

Anytime I see a website promoting "peace and justice" I know what they're about. I have grown to hate those words.
I can't even hear "justice of the peace" in an old movie without growling.
