If we could break the French and German economies (shouldn't be too hard), while introducing a "Marshall Plan" of sorts to east Europe, we might soon be in position to demand that France and Germany be replaced on the security council by the much more influential and powerful Poland and Turkey. Let the whole world see our fair weather "friends" become back-benchers for their treachery.

They probably invented all those "appliances" sold in shops that only admit 21 and older and that have to be located 10 blocks away from the nearest school.

Six of us went to Chamonix, France on a ski vacation a few years back, and we made arrangements to rent a chalet up on a mountainside (paying plenty, well in advance). After hours of driving, we finally spotted the place up on the mountain, a long ways away. More searching found the owner, who promptly handed us a snow shovel. We had to shovel our way in, and the place was bitter cold, not even a fire in the fireplace. So much for French hospitality. I've never met such unfriendly, unhospitable people. One of our worst...and most expensive vacations ever.

Seems it is the same all over France.I still like the way we were treated in Germany, but that was years ago.Ramstien is a large base I cant see how the economy around Kaiserslautern could not be hurt if we moved out.

The French would NEED all those "appliances" because no other human being in their right mind would have sex with any of them knowingly, IMO!

Also the most smelly. The combination of infrequent bathing, no deodorant, and Galois cigarettes is devastating from olfactory point of view.

Dear Torie,
So what you are saying is that the U.S. should continue to let
France crap on us and we should take it because the french have an inferiority complex. We should take it so they can feel important and good about themselves?
F the French and everything they stand for. I am not a youngster and I do rermember how DeGaulle reveled in sticking it to America and England. I say isolate the french and show them to be the duplicitous sissy boys they
are.

Hey there, Utah girl! I thought it was interesting to note that the latest way to say "that's so stupid" around my kid's school is to say, "That's so FRENCH!"..and if someone says "that's stupid", another student generally pipes up (with a bad French accent) "because zey are FRENCH!" Kids hear what's going on...

"...and the Muslims will blow up Chartres and Notre Dame..."
I thought they liked to take over Judeo-Christian sites and make mosques out of them like parasites. The al-Usama and al-Saddam mosque's?

Two years ago my wife and I spent a week in France, In Paris the people were a bit uppity, however as we spent time at Bed & Breakfasts the people were very pro-American. I am not a supporter of the French, however many of the people in the countryside are very nice.

The muslims have already taken over Marseilles.
To: DocJ69
That was my experience when I went to France. The people in the countryside were very helpful and friendly, if we tried to speak French, they'd listen and help us out. We found the Parisians to be snotty and condescending. Kind of like big city folk vs country folk.
To: Utah Girl
The French haven't had a battlefield success since the time of Napoleon. And even Napoleon's early victories were mainly due to Dombrowski's Polish Legions.
