They are squirming in the demRat camp. The latest polls indicate the demRats and not just davi$ are being seen as the culprits by many in this state including demRats and liebrals.
I hear what you and many are saying, leave davi$ in office and then we can really nail the bastards in 2004 and 2006.
The problem is, I don;t think we can afford to wait that long.
Tom McClintock and others are prepared to make the tough choices now and save this state from 2 or more years of tsunami waves of debt (bonds and loans) overwhelming this once proud state and sending it to the bottom of the abyss of socialism.
I would like to see all the demRats who, the last few years haveraped us repeatedly financially with reckless spending, get recalled. But , for that , we'll have to wait until 2004, unfortunately.
However,we can start now to bring the ship around but we need a new captain as soon as possible to do that. IMO
An extraodinary observation and acutely acurate prophesy. Unfortunately the frustration of the Davis years has got many conservatives in such a nit that they are ready to lash out at anyone or anything they can grasp without a thought of the unintended consequences.
Keep preaching this rational gospel my friend.
I would agree, but for different reasons. Namely, that an election is an election is an election. The people have spoken (largely socialist) and the results will bear out over time. Our legislature is another problem in that it is largely made up of socialists.
The impending fate of bankruptcy that this state will meet is not something that can be averted via the ballot box. Witnessing a once beautiful state's decline into third world status is no treat. The only hope might be a requirement that voters consist of property owners only-- since they are at greatest risk when governments start making promises they can't keep.
Those with nothing to lose will always be first in line to legitimize the government's ability to coerce from the 'haves' whatever they feel is necessary in furthering the notion that freedom and success in this land of opportunity are always negotiable.
At some point then, true charity might once again exist under this type of plan. Forced charity is always a drag in that the recipient must resort to enforcement in order to obtain it.
An election is an election is an election. DUhh!!
A putsch is a putsch is a putsch. Read German history in the 1930s and how Nazis seized power.
The German people that were coerced to vote for Hitler and are thus entitled to their fair"inheritance" brought on by their "elective choice".
I beg to differ that we just need to swallow what comes and take it as the "voters" have spoken. I, personally, don't think we need to change the electoral process so only property owners can vote.
I do feel that a biased media and out and out thievery of elective offices thru lies, illegal votes and sordid other nefarious tricks are areas that need corrective action. Unfortunately, when the Attorney General is in the scoundrel's camp , that option can't work.
