It looks that way. I'm disappointed in Bush yet again on domestic policy. We need to end the ESA NOW!!!

The sucker fish are at it again!
**Federal water managers will pay farmers in the Klamath Project $4 million to idle farmland and irrigate their crops from wells this summer, leaving water in Upper Klamath Lake for protected fish.**

Harumph! Can't keep pushing them farmers around like this. Won't be long before they have had enough. As a matter of fact I was surprised that last time there wasn't real violence.....
Thanks for the ping, plugged this article into the news page on azfire.org..

madfly - You are going to have to ping this one. My main computer, thus my ping list, are down right now. Mother board may have taken a leave of absense. Luckily, our house has more than one computer. Ok, we usually have 5 or 6 up and running at any one time. Disgusting but convenient.

Wasn't the reservoir built for irrigation in the first place?? D*m enviros---shut down the entire EPA!
To: TenthAmendmentChampion
Wasn't the reservoir built for irrigation in the first place??No, it was built for water recreation and building mosquito populations...., kidding.
It certainly was. And IIRC, it was built to attract farmers to the region.....oh the irony.

Klamath Basin Alfalfa is very important to the dairy farmers of Humboldt and Del Norte Counties The dairy industry is the number one farm product here. Humboldt Creamery makes that sinful 27% butterfat icecream you buy at Costco Stores and also some for Safeway...
To: Khepera
But the EPA, DOI, and the BofR don't have the balls to do it.

Where will you get the alfalfa then? Looks like the Klamath farmers aren't going to have enough water to grow their crops.
