Thanks for the handy dandy list, hell. I will be using it.

You're welcome, but it's copied right off the NY City Council members page.

So if you lose it, it can be found again. :)

NY Daily News:Council boss out front on peace plank

Unlike Mayor Bloomberg, City Council Speaker Gifford Miller is not zipping his lips on the prospect of war in Iraq.

"I don't believe that going to war at this time is good for America," Miller (D-Manhattan) said yesterday.

His comment came on the eve of a long-stalled Council vote on a resolution opposing a unilateral war by the United States against Iraq. Despite bitter infighting, the so-called peace resolution was expected to be adopted by a voice vote today.

Technically, a resolution - an expression of the Council's opinion on a given issue - needs 26 votes to pass. Miller said 31 of the 49 members support the peace resolution. There are two vacancies on the Council.

Resolutions, unlike bills, require no action by the mayor. Bloomberg has declined so far to give his views on a war with Iraq.

The Council vote is coming as the United Nations is nearing its vote on President Bush's request for a resolution authorizing war if Iraq does not disarm by March 17.

McCollum's afraid a war will incite more terrorist attacks. We weren't at war on 9/11. What's his excuse for that attack?

The problem is this: the old world mental disease aka socialism is thriving in the United States, and it destroys the brains of those it infects. The anti-war communists and their Hollywood cheering section are a good example.
